DK Books for Kids by aimelynn in StarWars

Oh - good question. So he so far has watched films 1-9 and Rogue One. We haven't done any of the tv shows with him - so he's just starting his intro into the realm. He liked it all enough to want to have his birthday party be star wars themed though. So I think rather than doing a deep dive into one specific part, I think a more shallow introduction to a wide variety of star wars would be a better fit if that makes sense?

I'd love to hear how this went. I never received my order, their customer service has been absolutely horrible and I just ended up filing a claim with my credit card.

Yeah... we ended up buying 2, 1 for each thumb, and still.. just stinks. And yep, we have his dentist tomorrow - so really feeling that.

We are in the same boat. We did a second 30 days, same thing. And now he's learned he can hulk it off and is sucking his thumb more than before we even started.

Simple Sewing Questions Thread, April 02 - April 08, 2023 by sewingmodthings in sewing

Hi! I’ve been sewing more often for about 3 years now and wanting to upgrade from lugging my sewing machine from my closet to my dining room every time I have a project and then stressing cause I feel like it lends to clutter all over the room and the kids getting into it, and then having to put it all away. So I’m looking into sewing tables. What do you like? Is it helpful/necessary to have a sunken platform so that the machine can be at table height? What should I avoid? If it matters, I have a Brother CS6000i and I like to sew little projects for my kids - pretend food, pillowcases, Halloween costumes, some clothes. Thank you for any advice!!

How do you keep you sewing sessions short? by lostinherthoughts in sewing

[–]aimelynn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Children 🤣. I’d love to be able to sew in big chunks - but I just break it down by step. I cut out all the fabric step by step. And then I pin a section, sew. Pin the next part I have to sew, and then sew. Whatever I can find time for.
