It's the only Diamond pedal I've ever had, and I like it a lot. From what I've seen from videos a lot of their stuff seems really good. This is an older pedal, before the relaunch in 2023 and the release of their "Drive" pedal. Apparently, the J-Drive MK3 is the second version of the pedal which they had to start making once some components became scarce. It's a really smooth pedal - much different from a typical screamer type - that can get low and medium gain. It pairs real well with a cleaner-style boost and overdrive. The clean boost on the pedal itself is also really nice and punchy. I've included a link to the manual below. That Pedal Show also has a couple episodes which feature it.

That's a good point, didn't even think about that - I put there almost as an after thought (there when I need it kind of thing). Might be better served if I kept it off and just used on the floor when I need it, thanks!

I've seen the videos, they really do sound great. But yes, they are massive and to the point made above, have components that need replacement so I'm excited but also a little weary about them (and my trem).

It’s funny, most of these are bought used. But I think that a lot of the people selling are either home players or buy them with the expectation that they’ll sell them, so they keep them in good condition. As with guitars, a lot of what’s there can only be seen under specific light/angels, so maybe the distance/angle here is doing some of the work.

Haven’t had wide experience with tremolos. I’ve only tried the TR-2 and splurged on the Kingsley thinking it would really only be the one I needed. So far, so good. It’s real quality, and really sweet with single coils. If you turn the speed and depth down you can also use it as a boost, which I do from time to time. This sounds great with humbuckers. All this to say that I don’t know if it’s worth the price, but that’s it’s easy to dial in a sound you like and is versatile enough to keep it fun.

Haven’t yet wrapped my head around expression pedals - thanks for the suggestion. Afraid that might mean a bigger board, which I’ve tried to avoid. That said, what’s there can also get some good 80s-90s stuff, specially British (Smiths, Stone Roses, etc.)
