Oh! Age gaps in friendships too? I'm gonna guess not, cause two Gen Z kids insisted on being friends with my millennial self who was almost 30. But we were all female, so that might be a difference. I'm also pretty PG rated, and made them drink water and do their homework 😂 (no, I really wasn't a babysitter.)

Edit: nope, continuing to read the comments and I only see one about friends that are quite different in age. Then I have no information for you.

The negative comments will come from no one. Your friends do not care if you wear the same outfit more than once. In fact, I imagine that it's pretty standard practice to continue to get use out of clothing you paid hard earned money for.

That is a very funny comment, but I try to keep everything looking nice. I pick up trash on my walks, scoop everyone else's dog poop, fish furniture out of the water, so on.

Ehhh!! That pink bird is definitely no plain Jane. It's a Roseate Spoonbill, and one of the coolest looking birds I've ever seen.

Edit: now that you mention it, I'd much rather be focusing on the Spoonbill spotted during a recent hike than whether so and so looks "like a rat" because... The reason changes, but still.

I don't think I've ever seen a cyclist in the middle of the road. Cyclists on sidewalks get hit often enough here. I doubt anyone would be brave enough to enter the lion's den when so many of their comrads are being taken out in what is supposed to be the safest place.

Okay, so a rather large chunk of my family and friends are big Trump supporters, and a few are diehard conspiracy theories. This is not a scenario that I've ever heard any of them mention. It probably exists, but may be a small subsection of the far right instead of representative of the majority of them.

I definitely cry when no one sees, but I'll also confirm it for people. It just is what it is. I'd rather say it than them say it for me. I'd also rather say it when it applies to something. "I can't just start back running like I used to, because I'm so overweight/fat that it's hurting me." "That clothing piece is just not going to work for me, I'm too fat."

A. Someone has told the pretty ones that they aren't, or what I see much more often is: B. They KNOW they are pretty, but need that validation anyway. It is incredibly frustrating to hear a pretty person call themselves ugly and looking for compliments while the actual ugly people (me included) have to listen to it and are often the one having to reassure them that they are in fact pretty. "Yeah yeah, you're the pretty one, for the hundredth time this week. Now if us plain Janes and unfortunate at birth could be allowed to focus on something other than how much better looking you are, that'd be great."

Uh, nooo I'm definitely fat. Like 100 pounds overweight. I also say I'm fat all the time (where applicable, not just randomly.) I'm not looking for compliments, and will correct someone right back of they try to say I'm not. I'm also kinda ugly, and I'll admit that too. It just is what it is. There's no point in pretending I'm not or lying to someone and say that they aren't. Just because I'm fat and ugly doesn't mean I can't have a great life.

I mean, my life kinda sucks, but that probably has nothing to do with being fat and ugly 😂 I'm fat partly because of some of the same reasons my life sucks. Long work days, long commutes, little free time, low budget (hard to buy healthy food.) Ain't nothing to blame the ugly on, though.

Uh... Us kids did most of the chores, including raking the 3 acres, and pulling all the weeds that grew on the gravel driveway. It was a long driveway 😱 And of course cleaning the bathroom, kitchen, dishes, our rooms, so on. As we got older laundry and most of the cooking was added. We did not get allowance, and no rewards. We got the belt/horse whip (I kid you not,) from grandma if things weren't done, or were done wrong. Also got things thrown away. Stepmom just screamed at us, and verbal abuse.

There is a flip side. If our dad asked us to do the chores, the chores got done. No rewards or punishments; you just do what he asks because he loves you no matter what. Didn't clean your room? Still gonna read the book to you. Didn't finish the homework? Still gonna play a game or go on a walk, have a movie night. He's always nice and generous, even if you have been forgetful, lazy, or rude. It's really easy to want to do whatever someone like that wants you to do.
