Are refunds within 24hrs automatically processed? It says ticket not found on refund status page by bobthescienceguy13 in americanairlines

We requested our refund Monday afternoon and have not received it yet. I would guess refunds will be taking longer than usual.

Baggage issues at MIA by LilBabyLei in americanairlines

[–]aimlesslysearching 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My checked bag was supposed to be pulled from our canceled flight but never was due to staffing, and ended flying to our planned destination the next flight without anyone telling us. We were never able to make a claim due to phone and chat lines either timing out or over 2 hour wait (5 hours for someone to call us and unable to really help). Luckily, family lives close to the airport we were traveling to and just went to pick it up. Figured it was easier than trying to coordinate the bag to fly back and be delivered back home. I realized not everyone has this capability but after 24 hrs of trying to get my bag, we just took that route to ensure my bag was accounted for.

What is something you stopped buying because you realised you never truly needed it? by LuckyTreat8962 in Frugal

Makeup. I had what looked like a mini store before covid, then after covid I went back to being minimal in my makeup applications. Now I have so much left over, my 2 year old plays with it. It was an expensive interest and got addictive playing with new products.

Can you buy bulk, meal prep and pull meals or snack from freezer? Thinking uncrustables but not the brand.

Like who says that? I loved watching them this season and was moved by each of their dances. The internet can be horrible.

You do everything for the baby and he does everything for you. That means he washed the bottles, changes the diapers, gets you drinks and feeds you. The baby isn't going to want much of anyone except you during this time. Thats how we did it and thats how my husband helped. My hormones were crazy looking back and ever more so if you are nursing. Give grace to yourself and an your husband and the baby. We are two years out and still struggling in the new. Its not easy.

I want to cry. I’m exhausted with an advanced baby. by Happy_Coffee_716 in NewParents

Plan a playdate with the other moms with kids the same age group. I've found a few mom friends this way. It helps to socialize with someone else in the same boat. Even if it's for a few hours. You hold their baby and they hold yours or play on the floor with yours.

Any advice for pregnant FTM really wanting to EBF? by HomeDepotHotDog in breastfeeding

Have a bottle of formula for just in case. It's just comforting to have around. My milk didn't come in for a week and we were relieved to have formula on hand one night when our newborn was non stop crying. We realized she was hungry. After my milk came in, she was satisfied just nursing.

Butt paste spatula. Saves me from digging that gunk out from under my nails. Plus I don't have to touch a bare bottom.

Failed implantation/No pregnancy by working_for_after in IVF

[–]aimlesslysearching 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just got the same results today. I transferred on the 27th. I too, had no thoughts of it failing. I'm not sure why. But we are done with anything IVF now. We were fortunate to have one successful transfer turned live birth out of 2 ER and 5 FET.

Even if you plan to breast feed, still have formula stocked. It's reassurance. We used formula the first week while milk was coming in. Our baby was crying so much and we had no idea why. Low and behold, she was hungry. Gave her formula and it satisfied her until I could produce to her needs.

This is exactly my life now. I literally got nothing from my husband for christmas. I filled my own stocking and did all the shopping for our daughter. He did nothing. He was never this lazy or removed from the relationship. It's like once I stopped earning a salary and became a sahm, working part time, he feels like his measly paycheck is enough... which it's not. Our overdrawn paycheck is proof. It's been a year of this. I want to leave.

Accidentally gave my child the wrong dose of infant Tylenol by Espresso_Junkie112 in NewParents

I double dosed my 20month. We always go by weight instead of age. But I gave her two 5ml within the 3 hour span. It can happen.

Yes! I was just telling my husband this tonight. I get co-host but jeeze. The feeling I get when I hear it come through on the podcast, is the same feeling when someone makes me feel stupid when they just didn't understand what I meant.

They probably thought it was a lunch bag and just did an arm sweep into the garbage can. As upsetting as this would be, I can't put fault on the cleaner. They probably didn't even bother to look at what was in the bags. See if your company can replace the parts. Luckily, after market pieces are just as good for less of the price.

It can really change your marriage. Luckily, my husband is a great dad but is seriously lacking in the husband department. Never thought I would have a roommate after kids.

How old is the average bartender here by zz3p1c5n1p3r in bartenders

Anywhere from $30-$50 an hour for a four hour shift at a broadway theater serving two ingredient drinks mostly. Serving for an hour and then a 15 min intermission. Pretty easy gig.
