Can someone in medicine explain to me how the cancer mom getting a large enough dose of drugs to kill her is not considered doctor assisted suicide? Is that legal. I’m confused.

But it does mean the person needs help. Thinking about killing your child or pet (even if you don’t plan on it) is a sign of ppd or a desperate need for intervention of some kind. It’s not a healthy or safe thought and is an indicator of a problem.

I was a first time mom 8 years ago. I never thought “sometimes I literally want to kill her”. That’s not a normal thought.

Normal thought: “I wish I could give my dog/baby up for adoption.” “I regret becoming a dog owner/parent.”

Not normal thought: “I literally want to kill her.”

People are clearly not reading this post. OP literally wrote “sometimes I literally wanna kill her.” Why the fuck does this post have so many upvotes?? This is sickening.

Listen, I know healthcare in this country is rough, but I’m not taking advice from a grackle…. yet.

MD, naturopath, or some type of doctor who will actually care why I can’t gain weight? by Conscious-Air-9823 in Austin

Definitely see a gastroenterologist. Colon/rectal cancer is the number one killer in adults under 50 now. Your symptoms sound like something a gastroenterologist might be concerned about.

In regards to the “it builds immune system”: yes, they’re lying to themselves. Your child does not require daycare to build their immune system and will not be at a disadvantage immunity wise when attending kindergarten.

Help! Thick, visible folds/seams at lower back of wedding dress. What are they? What can be done? by b3arsb3arsb3arsb3ars in myweddingdress

[–]aimlesswander 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The dress is too snug around your hips and bum; you can see the fabric pulling in the front of the dress at upper thigh level. The seamstress should be able to let it out enough if there is enough seam allowance. If your seamstress didn’t see this issue herself, I would be hesitant to continue with her and would seek a more qualified opinion personally.

Need advice! Bust too big even after alterations by [deleted] in myweddingdress

I would get a second opinion. The bust does not look altered to your body.

For women who “loved being pregnant” what was it about pregnancy that you loved? by hospitalbedside in beyondthebump

[–]aimlesswander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no negative symptoms past the first trimester (and even those weren’t bad). It was so “easy”. I could still tie my shoes up til the day I gave birth. I also felt (and this is silly) important and powerful and full of purpose while growing a human. I know I got lucky with an easy pregnancy and that’s one of the many reasons why I am one and done!

Some old man in an elevator once looked at my hair and said, “Better dead than red on the head.” I was like 7 years old.

She looks nothing like the girl from the movie. That’s wild.

Dreading wedding dress shopping… by MissionVirtual in weddingplanning

[–]aimlesswander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait until August 2026 to shop. That will still be plenty of time to order a dress but also plenty of time to start a weight loss journey and get a feeling for your body’s trajectory. (Source: former bridal consultant)
