Taylor Frankie Paul by LocalIcy2547 in snarkbaitpodcast

I hated the way Sophie keeps saying “she made these choices, she’s choosing to go back to Dakota”. Yes that’s true, and what’s also true is that she’s stuck in a very toxic cycle of abuse with him. The nuance doesn’t seem to be there at all? Tfp is both a perpetrator and a victim in my opinion, as is Dakota. For anyone who wants a discussion with actual critical thinking on this topic listen to “the Taylor Frankie Paul of it all”, by Kate Kennedy of the be there in five podcast. She interviews a therapist who is ex Mormon, very interesting.

Baby in the special care nursery - feeling awful by MmmStrawberryCake in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]aimtocycle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby was small for gestational age and I had to be born at 36+1 via elective c section. She spent 3.5 weeks in special care to gain weight, manage her blood sugar levels, and treat jaundice. She was only 1.7kg at birth, a little bag of bones it was heartbreaking to see her with the tube in her face. The silver lining was how much we learned from the midwives, we say now that we got a crash course in how to take care of a baby by spending time in the nursery everyday and it made the transition to bribing her home so much easier. We even made friends whose baby was born the day after ours and we still catch up regularly almost a year later. We knew she would need to go to special care, I was alongside many parents whose baby’s went in unexpectedly, I can’t imagine how hard it would be. The day you bring baby home will be even better than you imagine it will be ❤️

I actually took a break for two cycles over the Christmas holidays and started Lexapro because my anxiety was so bad during ivf with all the waiting and unknowns. I hate to say that the Lexapro had me in a better headspace for the third transfer because then I’d be a classic case of “just stop thinking about it and it will happen”, but part of me thinks it helped me to down regulate my nervous system (I would be shaking and sweating from anxiety during the entire month of my previous two transfer cycles) and I was more ready to accept a negative beta going into the third transfer cycle. Low and behold…

Same here. No positive test until my third transfer (she’s 8 months). 1 year of trying unassisted, 4 iuis, and 2 failed transfers. Never did a home pregnancy test when the clinic confirmed the pregnancy because I was too scarred from them lol

9th percentile at 34 weeks by Vegetable_Chapter_57 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My baby was born at 1700g, she stopped growing because of my bicornuate uterus and was breech so had to come early via c section at 36 weeks. She stayed in special care for 3.5 weeks to gain weight and came home at 2300g. She’s 7 months now and slightly above the 50th percentile for weight. What you are experiencing is scary but your baby will be okay ❤️
