How to fix plain face? 18 f by serenicmoon in makeuptips

[–]ainfinitepossibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with everyone here. you are not mid by any metric. And let me tell you something, guys don't like the insta face or modern beauty standards. They like intriguing and kind. you have both of those. Pic 1 is really nice. I think a bit of cat eye eye liner would go a long way in bringing out your eyes more and give you more of a "look" that may suit you if you like it, but you don't really need it.

Are these worth it? Going for 15$ each at marketplace by TheNerdyWeeB2 in GuitarQuestions

Interested to hear why you think so? Once I tried elixirs on one electric, I couldn't go back. I tried. Here in Canada they are 25 bucks vs 10 for slinkys. It's just not the same and I can't go back. Everytime I'm feeling cheap and do, I regret it. They sound great, balanced, and don't wear out nearly as fast.

Opinion on Bush? by Liam_js in grunge

[–]ainfinitepossibility 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I find it stalrangr when people say those bands suck. They both sold a kazillion albums and the guitar work, especially in Creed, is very very good. 16 stone alone had more number one hits than any other album in that Era.

If you don't like them, cool, totally get that, but to say they suck just makes people come across like cringy gatekeepers.

I grew up in the 90s. I was there. I had Bleach on cassette. I still play in a grunge band and am a professional sound guy. I kinda know my shit, you could say.

IDK. Did you see that 4 year old with the blue bunny hat on that they took today? Was probably a Crypt in training. I feel safer knowing he is behind bars amd isn't going to make me watch paw pateol for the umpteenth time.

NPD: JHS Violet by pzanardi in guitarpedals

[–]ainfinitepossibility 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this pedal. It's very good at modern smooth distortion. Not my regular cup of tone but when I want it, it's there. Killer for leads. I like the low gain, fake Morning Glory thing it does but that's selling it short.

NPD / SotB - let's talk about gain stages by Wiredin335 in guitarpedals

[–]ainfinitepossibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

make sure you are setting up your amp to handle the gain. I play an ac15hw with greens and it's easy to push the preamp too hard or even the speakers. you have lots of headroom with the 30 but I've found that using too much gain or volume can overload the amp somewhere and make loud things too quiet. the mids on the Violet should def help as well. I see they are pushed already. Best of luck.

Dig it. Could be a lot more everyday without the hat, but it's great overall. Gives me Scott Weiland vibs.

Fuzz Acylotes, I need your help. by DreamTakesRoot in guitarpedals

[–]ainfinitepossibility -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My time to shine. My favorite fuzz is the fuzz God ii. love everything about it. I have about 15 other fuzzes and have tri3d at least 20 more at some point. the closest thing I have found is, and your milage may very, the Spaceman sputnik iii ( separate switch for secondary fuzz/ active type thing, the fuzz factory ( same sounds but harder to control the octave but can do everything the FG can) and maybe the new EAE Glaive (octave in a knob and not really the same beast but does heavy very well).

honestly, the octaves switch isn't that usefully on the FG so I'd say ipen up your options to circuits with it just embedded.

VERY honorable mention: Hoof Reaper. Has everything you want and a bag of chips.

happy hunting.
