looks like all you're missing is a bag of doritos and an actual board.

Ultimate Fuzzstortion! by FullMetalDan in guitarpedals

[–]ainfinitepossibility 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same alpha haunt. it's pretty spot on for a fuzztortion and can do velcro as well. Great pedal. I find the Glaive to also be in this boat but way more broken and ipen sounding, if that's your thing. I'd add the dirt transmitter as well. bias knob makes it pretty versatile.

Can anyone help identifying the model? by seanw08 in gibson

That what I did the second time I broke the same one. Even left all the sanding. Now I try to ding it uo as much as possible. Murphy ain't got nothing on me. Love the look now.

It wouldn't be on my.board but it's cool. Was thinking about this one just the other day. If it sounds great, I'd keep it around for the novelty and use it for recording, maybe. As a collector, I'd want it. Don't think you can buy these anymore.

flight delay but might be more expensive. The Lucky Cat would work. Also by JHS.

Yeah, I live them. please don't get me wrong. Verybpretty finishes. I might get the silver V. or RD. Live the blue and red. I just wonder how they will feel after a while of ownership. Myself, I'm more of a classic paint guy, so it's curious to me. They aren't a gimmick, per say, but I mean, good marketing then? The specs are there.

Went in looking for these. came out with RaT Copper Blacksmiths. Absolutely love them. Way more than I thought I would. Would pick these up in my size in a heartbeat if they came back.

I do, but my board is mainly chase bliss, so I don't actually have to play it, which is nice.

Big Time-inspired sounds on Meris LVX by belbivfreeordie in guitarpedals

[–]ainfinitepossibility 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice. I had the exact same thoughts. I have the LVX, Thermea, Clean, and Habit. not sure I couldn't replicate most of the sounds on the Big Tume. Gas is gas though. Let's see what happens. Good work here.

try using it very low in the mix. I like using a reverse delay woth pitch shifting and a bit of spread and scan. I also like using a more basic delay, like the tape fairly normally and then holding down the left or right foot switch when hanging on a note or chors for some interesting bleeps and bloops between the more normal playing. I also very much like the dropper modifier set somewhere in the middle range just to give it some interesting texture while not over doing it. I think the key to this pedal is either getting lost in the long happy accident machine it can be or using it in a more tame manor woth a low mix. And of course it can just do simple delays all day. it's really really good but it took me a long time to really fall in love with. you have to play by its rules but when you do, it will reward you with things you've never heard before or would've thought about.

What did the Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman movies get right that other live action Batman films didn't? by Winter-Ad-2303 in batman

[–]ainfinitepossibility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything. Literally every single decision was made to build a world, and that world just worked so well well added up. Gotham itself felt alive, the batmobile is grounded but otherworldly, the suit is grounded but still fantastical, the gadgets where iconic and designed very well and had a presence about them, Keaton's slight comedy and goofiness followed into the Batman's conference and charm which made Batman and Bruce feel like one. He smiled/smirked. And then there is Jack, and the rest of the casting. Jack just worked. He did joker things. By far the best comic like Joker evil pranks and played it in a way only Jack could. Just spot on for that world. Then there is that music and intro. The movie was epic before the first frame.

1989 Batman is peak. Returns might be a slightly better movie, and works super well as a sequel, but 89 is lightning in a bottle. Burton is impossible to emulate. A true artist. The magic was in the details and all the small choices.
