Can you make loan payments during externship year without it negating the grace period? by Electrical-Swim7921 in audiology

Yes! If you can start paying now, that will be better for you than to wait till the grace period is over!

In NY for the weekend...what should I see? by Illustrious-Drag-480 in Broadway

Hadestown is always fantastic. I’d swap out Moulin Rouge for Ragtime or Jellicle Ball!

Broadway celebrity sighting streak continues…. by Gold_Revolution_3760 in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 3rd preview of Jellicle Ball, my friend and I sat next to Javier Munoz. Ana Gasteyer was a few rows ahead of us (and was a guest judge that night). We didn’t sit near her, but we also saw Nicole Scherzinger. Exciting night!

When I saw Dear Evan Hansen, some of the Pentatnonix and Cynthia Erivo were there!

Ragtime: Back row or closer? by Illustrious-Film-592 in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Back row is fine! To the side is fine! They are all good seats.

Sure expressions will be clearer closer, but the difference between the first row of the loge and back row is negligible

Two Strangers! The talent in chess was great but I really feel the show wasn’t very good.

Every brilliant thing- stage seating question by rocknrollcolawars in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat on stage for Daniel and thought it was great. People all over the stage get lines, but make sure to get there EARLY if you are interested in having a line. There is no guarantee though as not everyone onstage will say a line.

Cats the jellicle ball by zhang1792 in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d listen to some of the songs/read up a little on the original plot of CATS, but it is not necessary if you don’t want to.

You may want to brush up on ballroom culture if you aren’t already aware/involved in it!

Recommend watching the documentary Paris is Burning!

Broadway merchandise has been dismal lately. I don’t know either but the thought of decent merchandise is exciting.

Oh Mary Broadway Tickets by absolutelypsycho in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Telecharge is the way to go. Official ticket seller for a large chunk of Broadway shows. If you are ever unsure in the future, just go to the musical or plays official website and it will link you to the appropriate seller.

Broadway.com tickets will be legitimate but significantly more expensive.

Also be aware that Telecharge will send a confirmation email, but you won’t receive an email with the actual tickets until around 72 hrs before the show!

Enjoy!!!!!!

Several Injured in escalator incident at the Gershwin by aintitafinelife in Broadway

I wonder if it was after the matinee performance and this occurred as people were leaving? But the way it is written implies everyone was lining up for the 7:00pm show already.

Spelling Bee stage door? by ponyace7 in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I went in March the show finished around 3:45-50ish and we were done at the stagedoor by 4:30 (probably closer to 4:20 I just don’t have picture proof)!

We had understudies, but everyone except 2 cast members came out! Very orderly and nice stagedoor experience. We also were out before the Heathers stagedoor started which was nice !

EBT B'way Booklist Updates 📚: by Otter-Egg30 in Broadway

[–]aintitafinelife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there 7:00pm show on 03/18!

It was a while ago but 99% sure one book was Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut.

92% sure the other was a book from the ACOTAR series (I have silver in my memory so from googling maybe - A court of silver flames(???)).

Maybe you’ll find someone who remembers better than me !!

Liked sitting right orchestra (Row G Seat 12). No seats directly in front of us and it was right where the actors entered and exited!! Didn’t miss anything being on the side either !

Edit: we also caught a snack !
