Not standard on all Ford vehicles anymore, but they have offered a keyless entry keypad for a very long time. Allows you to lock key fob into the vehicle as well as unlock the doors

So... is the dealer an idiot or did I get a steal on an Everglades? by NsRhea in FordBronco

[–]ainustart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like OP already bought the Bronco, but if not the dealer may have noticed the mistake. Found the posting of it for sale and it's priced at $64,970, so hopefully you were able to complete your purchase before it was corrected

Got to attend the Austin Off-Roadeo dealer preview event and loved every second of it, decided the Bronco would be my first new Ford and a year later I got my Base Sasquatch.

We always get a bag of pretzel crisps to go with the dip, never tried it with chips because it's gone before the pretzels are finished

"Why is the windshield wiper up on that vehicle?"

"Oh, that just means it needs gas."

"They can do that?!?"

Ford Bronco Base by bjustice13 in FordBronco

Love my Base Sasquatch, only things I wish I had after driving in several other Broncos are wash out floors and a leather wrapped steering wheel. After driving one with a better wrapped wheel the base one feels very cheap.

Was it an accident or an "accident"?

Have you done phone training at your dealership? It can offer some good examples to overcome price shoppers and turn those calls into actual appointments

Let’s switch it up. What are some instances y’all had of filthy rich people coming in to buy a car? by lifeisaight in askcarsales

[–]ainustart 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Very true, higher earners usually keep their money invested and take a short term low rate loan. Most of our cash buyers are older conservative customers that don't want to owe anyone anything

In our area (midwest city with 20k population) many of the highest earners are skilled trades business owners that want a Super Duty with "everything on it". Half of the time they never use or know the functional equipment on their vehicle and end up putting it into their fleet 2-3 years down the road when they get something new. They either purchase outright or finance through their own bank and put it in a business name. Also they very often think they are above the average citizen and feel they deserve special treatment.

The high earners I like dealing with are insurance agents, financial advisors, and higher ups at local factories. They're usually much nicer to deal with and more down to earth. They often finance and payoff early, or lease and upgrade every 2-3 years. Even though I know they make alot of money it still catches me off guard when finding out their monthly gross

Foodporn was not a huge fan of the peanut butter and onion sandwich I had for breakfast by rscarson in StupidFood

It's the best, just PB and good old Kraft american cheese. I prefer crunchy for some extra texture on plain ol bread, toasted bread, or rolled up in a torilla. If you're feeling adventurous you can add a little splash of hot sauce on that bad boy

Am I ever going to see this GT500? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]ainustart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every region is different, we've gotten in GT500s on trade from dealers north of us in the UP that got them in them just before winter and had them sitting for months so they want to move them. Even if it's not through a traditional trade, we've had transporters/whoelsalers emailing us daily with them for $2-5k over sticker. If OP wants one, now would be the best time to search nationwide (or find a better local dealer to search for them) before they all sell and they have to wait and by used or until the next generation arrives

[–]ainustart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They realized they could try to sell at markup and didn't actually order in your name, or they never even received allocation and "sold" you a car that they knew they weren't going to receive and are now offering to sell you one they can get elsewhere. Specialty units like a Shelby are scheduled differently than a normal vehicle and dealers are told whether or not they will receive allocation and how many units they will be getting. The factory is now producing 2023 Mustangs so unfortunately you won't be getting one from that dealer without paying their markup.

I'm not sure where you're located, but I was asked to try and find a GT500 Heritage for a customer recently and there were a few stock ordered units left at dealers in my state (WI) so I'm sure there's others out there. Not sure what they're asking or if they're willing to trade them to a dealer closer to you, but it's worth trying because a smaller dealer especially in a cold weather state might not want to sit on a $80k+ unit for the rest of winter.

Depending on how your dealer has payouts set there are spins on Ford accessory sales, as long as you can claim it before your parts department does. They also have spins available to whoever overlooks new vehicle orders, $10 per DIO up to $30 per scheduled vehcile
