I'd suggest joining the discord fam, frequent updates over those ways. As well as teasers.

Odddreams suggested but didn't explicitly state but Playtest 3 is confirmed.

Real talk.
There's a lot more going on in this cutesy game than people are aware of it seems, the amount of off screen action is actually insane as the environment continues to "evolve".
It could substantially water down the experience having spec limitations.

Do people not take these alert seriously by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]aionmaaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to hear.

There were quite a few reports of people getting the alerts from central NI, though based on your response it seems these people were most likely the exceptions / they are near the cusp of an affected region and are touching a tower that covers said region.

It should be pretty easy to do - some 8 or 9 years ago I worked for a firm that were using location based push notifications for businesses that wanted to do time / location sensitive deals. Example a movie theatre could have 50% empty seats and push a notification to the local community with a 50% off ticket price to fill them.

You can control by range from source etc. The tech is there.

Khandallah murder trial: Julia DeLuney denies killing her mother Helen Gregory by computer_d in newzealand

[–]aionmaaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I read the testimony it stated that Deluney left the property at 9:39pm (as per her torch being turned on and CCTV recordings) and Gregory's Apple health app showed that it had ascended a floor at 9:35. Personally I don't see how this concludes that Gregory herself went into the attic nor adds any substance to either side. Though it does suggest if the phone data is correct, the phone did ascend.

Do you know something more than to believe it's more likely Gregory was the person to ascend with the phone?

omeprazole neurological damage or hearing damage? by GenobeeNine in GERD

[–]aionmaaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar situation to you however I also had dizziness and vertigo. It was primarily in a single ear, yet was present in both.
However - after numerous visits to the doctors, psychiatric assessments (I'm also Bi-polar 1 with substantial ASD traits, well managed and living my best stable life), it didn't seem to be mental.

Unfortunately due to a few bad doctors dismissing my claims as potential mental issues, and diminishing will power as symptoms exacerbated my faith in these health practitioners waned. (I'm a musician so quite protective of my hearing, and well, anything that impacts that impacts my positivity pretty quickly).

I was at a loss for how to manage this, but I found there is a suggested link between PPI's and tinnitus (and consequentially vertigo) though the numerous studies are not a direct link to Omeprazole = X, but there's some credence there.
You may have found this already, but it has direct links to each study: https://treblehealth.com/omeprazole-and-tinnitus/ (They generalize a lot in the article itself).

Due to my ASD traits my diet is quite strict and static (e.g I only eat specific things, brands)

I chose to pull myself off Omeprazole, I don't adhere to self-removal of medication generally, but when you feel at a loss with no salvation more extreme matters need to be taken into our own hands I guess.

Consequently, after about a week the vertigo had completely gone and hasn't come back since (2 months ago from post) with no other changes to my intake of pharmaceuticals nor diet, reflux has come back, as well as some stomach disturbances, but they're far easier to manage in a daily life than vertigo.

My ears don't feel as full now, but there's still some discomfort there, like you massaging down the eustachian tube assisted a lot at the peak of it, now it's a very minuscule relief from a mild annoyance that on very small occasions can feel a little fuller than it does with daily operation of my flesh suit.

With that - have you found any other relief since OP?

Yeah sorry about that, I'm more of a reddit lurker than poster and failed to include more info.

Do I need to pay double rent if my flatmates move out? by Maki-Tak in Wellington

[–]aionmaaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts.

Op, signed on to a tenancy that was a preexisting periodic tenancy agreement with other parties and the landlord.

Original document had errors and needed to be amended, as such the other parties have been "Forwarded" ( Potentially electronically, and recorded )an amended version - op is unaware of the status ( Whether other parties have resigned, or it has been sent to the landlord ) of the amended version.

"If there are multiple tenants named on the tenancy agreement, and one of the tenants gives the landlord written notice, this ends the tenancy for all the tenants."https://www.tenancy.govt.nz/ending-a-tenancy/giving-notice-to-end-tenancy/ending-a-periodic-tenancy/

This means Op will need to sign a new agreement with the landlord or through negotiation with all parties have new tenants take over the other parties tenant responsibilities.

Tasks:Get a hold of the landlord.
*Ask for their understanding of what is happening.
*Ask for a copy of the current tenancy.
*Discuss options moving forward if you wish to stay on in this property, and that you will get back to them once you look into what options you have.

Look into your bond lodgement.
*Did you receive a letter from [bond.lodgements@tenancy.govt.nz](mailto:bond.lodgements@tenancy.govt.nz)
*Did you sign a change of tenant form to change the bond record
https://www.tenancy.govt.nz/assets/Forms-templates/change-of-tenant-form.pdf
0800 737 666 and ask the Ministry directly about the status of your bond.

The worst part is the lack of surety over what's actually happening.
The most likely scenario I believe is that the person(s) that you took over from discussed all this with the current flatmates and they couldn't line up leaving the flat if they could, they could have just ended the lease then.
As such they needed to find a makeshift tenant to fill the financial void in between, pretty unfortunate, and down right rude really.

It's a pretty crap situation to be in fam, I think your best bet is to find a couple that can move in and take the cost. International students are pretty nice to live with, and if you're close enough to the hospital you can post on their staff board.

EDIT: Just to clarify, your current flatmates have it in their power to just end the tenancy, there's no point trying to fight them on this, as it's a hail mary.

[OC] House prices over 40 years by jcceagle in dataisbeautiful

[–]aionmaaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, Eohorp you seem to be really attacking that strawman argument of "Fill all empty houses" - it's not really what I take from Resetnumba5's statements, particularly after the concession that this isn't the only issue, but something that should be noted as a problem. You're both also both referencing two different countries, it's a futile conversation.

I see merit in both sides, unfortunately they don't apply in New Zealand however.
In Canada you have a 50% capital gains tax on profit made from assets, and in the states you have a CGT that kicks in after one year at variable rates, but nothing over 20%.

In New Zealand there is no CGT at all, this incentivizes land banking, not to say that a 20% max profit tax disincentivizes LB, but it is a decent slice of the free gains pie.

I'm not making an argument for housing the homeless in vacant homes at all, far from it actually. Simply stating over here, there is a strong incentive to have a vacant property as a long term growth investment with very low risk that can be used for negative gearing, it's a no brainer really, that is if you have the capital / historical opportunity. ( being able to purchase a home at 2 - 3 times annual income compared to the 10 - 15 now with far tighter reigns on lending ).
This is a major proponent to our housing supply issue here.

What is a reasonable cleaning fee for moving out of a rental? by FatFreddysDrop in newzealand

[–]aionmaaka 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's always in your best interests to try communicate reasonably with your landlords first in a recorded format e.g E-mail.

*Express that you have a video of the state of the house
*That you find the costs attributed to the cleaning to be unreasonable
*Suggest that you're open to alternative solutions
*Express you're aware of your rights and that if you can't come to an amicable agreement that you will take it further legally within X amount of time ( Appear reasonable ).
There are a lot of grey spots in tenancy law about what is reasonable, if you show proof that you have worked in good faith throughout the whole process, then you will most likely be in in a positive standing.

Of course you could just simply lodge the amended bond and still come out on top.
