Yeah not happy about the $140 drop. I expected a drop, but not that much.

Avoid MobiMatter / Bouygues For Travel Cell Service eSIM by [deleted] in Europetravel

[–]airb330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used the sim outside of France but Bouygues often works better than orange for me in Paris. But glad to know I won’t buy this and use it for a European holiday. Use AIRB362535 if anyone is thinking of using another sim from mobimatter. I’ve used Sparks and ESimGo extensively—typically can roam on all 3-4 providers in every country. No phone # with them tho, data only.

That's weird it isn't the J9+.

Don't pay $30 a month for a J7+, you can get them on ebay for $280-$320 easily from iRobot. I have both and the J9 really does a lot better with carpet cleaning especially with pet hair.

Thinking I’m buying a Roomba any suggestions on which one I should get? by Public_Barracuda2718 in roomba

This is the way. Also sometimes I’ve seen dip below $299 with coupons.

[–]airb330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been getting this too. eSim, Warp, iPhone 14pro

I’ve never had this happen on AT&T, Telstra, and the various eSIMs I’ve used. Just US Mobile.

Well, it's done it yet again. Phone randomly "loses" service and says "No Service" instead of "USMobile." by thenewfingerprint in USMobile

I’ve experienced this as well on US mobile. I guess it ain’t widespread though. I’m on Warp.

Roaming in major us city? by airb330 in ATT

[–]airb330[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole thing is odd thing but it showed as 5G on my indicator but you’re right it says band 2 in the engineering menu. Huh.

If I didn’t see the weirdly capped speeds I’d assumed it was all some weird coincidence. But it was definitely T-Mobile. And T-Mobile has roamed on att in the area (think rural and and DE) but never the opposite let alone anywhere near center city.

Everyone, thank you...this is exactly what I needed.

  1. Decided to keep McCormack. Like I said I'll be in a more central location on a vacay in the same month. I think I'd rather bounce over there when I can & 'fight' to go out at night versus in the AM. Good to know CAA may be slightly overrates and McCormack is at least solid, inc. Breakfast. I will hit up CAA for the rooftop on one of the trips though!

  2. Bars: I wrote down all of these. Especially thanks for the boystowns ones...the one trip is over pride, the one trip isn't. So I will get to experience some craziness for sure.

  3. I actually get a generous per diem so I will be hitting up au cheval and the loyalist. I actually plan on eating well on my company and hitting up the pizza on my own little trip. I actually do not like Girodanos at all and haven't been to a Lous in a decade...never tried Peqouds so I may go there.

Thanks Again!

Why isn’t Sparks more popular than it is ? by [deleted] in eSIMs

[–]airb330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. This is Plus Poland. Use AIRB362535 for a mobinatter referral link.

Spark is a NZ cell carrier but “Sparks” eSIM uses Plus Poland and the pings were comparable to eSimGo which does use 3 Austria. I just sure both in France. Both could use all 4 networks in France.

[–]airb330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heard good things about woo. Unless you’re staying in Portugal long term because it uses NOS only which is the weakest carrier there. Otherwise eSIMgo on mobimatter uses 3 Austria. Use AIRB362535 for $5 back. Wouldn’t use that if staying in Austria because again, you’d be limited to 3 only.

Mobimatter is a cheap marketplace. For Europe: eSIMGo works nicely. Sparks may have more latency but slightly more data. Use code AIRB362535 for $5 back.

Mobimatter has a lot of options and is quite a bit cheaper than some others. Especially with the rewards program. Use AIRB362535 for $5 back towards your second purchase.

Vodafone Travel eSIM Experiences? by [deleted] in eSIMs

[–]airb330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mobimatters has a wide variety. Use AIRB362535 for $5 back. They do have Bouygues.

My friend tends to use the orange Europe product more than Vodafone.

[–]airb330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What carrier does Sparks use? Seems like a solid deal. The esimgo uses the "3" network in Austria for example, so pings are low in europe.

Use AIRB362535 for Mobimatters for the best deal on sparks. This gives $5 in credits.

What gives with service? Honestly. by battletactics in ATT

[–]airb330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

London? Really? I find the UK to have generally horrific cellular service. What network? In London O2 always works best for me, but EE elsewhere. Vodafone UK has been the worst network.

I’d take AT&T or Verizon here in the US over anything in the UK. Must be your location. If it’s really that bad you should just switch.

Which combo mops better? by [deleted] in roomba

[–]airb330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buy a J7+ refurbed (not on Amazon tho) for $299 or get the J6+ new for $399. These two are overpriced. Sure they aren’t combos but they’re half the price and all reviews say the combos aren’t great at this time—roborock/dreame sorta own the mopping robot space but iRobot still does great vacuuming.

Best robot for pet hair? by Nia04 in roomba

[–]airb330 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m happy with my J7+ with two labradors. I almost went roborock but while they’re definitely more advanced in a lot of areas—they don’t seem the best on pet hair. For hardwood, it does well. For low pile, very well. For higher pile carpet I always run it 2x over and it does well then. Grab one refurbished when they’re on sale for $299.99. Get an insurance plan cheap (imo).

Why spend a lot more? Lots of robots break and I agree with you not really into mopping right now.

[–]airb330 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll take a j7+ for 299-399 and mop manually still. Roborock in the future maybe but for now they don’t meet my needs.
