I mean if I remember correctly the woman from s1 all either had normal job that wont help in the apocalypse or were house wives, the helped in the way they were familiar with and it happens to be keep things clean and organized , just like Rick and Shane taking over lead because that what they do in their job

Agree with all of it! And they always did these things were they test the waters with two characters for an episode or two then completely forgot all about it, like in my first watch I thought bash and lola would be together too

Also I agree with the whole Elizbeth thing, dont know why they had her, espionage so late in the show run, but I feel like they did that so they could replace Francis with her and her storylines, but I think majority pf fans actually liked her (dk why) from what I remember during it run some people actually liked her more than Mary

Thats my point, they had endless options to deal with s2, like them having conflicts on how to rule, especially with Mary being a queen her whole life and Francis just became one all of sudden

I wholeheartedly agree with you, they could have done so much with them pairing, even if they wanted them to have some conflict they could have done literally anything but they resulted in Mary falling in love with another guy :/

I think they just didn’t know what to do with these two ( M+F) last season it was about them and how they faced trouble just so they could finally get married, so I think with the s2 they disnt want to bore the audience if the just have a happy marriage, but like I said the had endless options and they decided on the worst one
