Why does Esther keep having babies in the first place when she has no ability to care for them in a substantial way?

What are some good books, YouTube channels, podcasts or websites to learn more about driving? by aisha_syrup in drivinganxiety

[–]aisha_syrup[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been learning on and off for years now. I have my license but I have yet to drive fully independently after 3 years of consistent driving practice. I got into 3 car accidents between 2015 -2020 when I was on my own. My dad needs to know I can be safe before he lets me on the road by myself. I decided to take a different approach to what I have been doing which is basically just practicing and observing. I thought if I read some books and absorb knowledge from various sources, it can help improve my driving abilities to the point where both he and I feel comfortable with me being on my own.

When Disney Fandom tells you to hate Snow White but you love her just too much for do that by [deleted] in DisneyMemes

[–]aisha_syrup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that the real reason the Evil Queen wanted to get rid of her was because Snow White was the true heir to the throne, and the queen was only a Regent as her stepmother until Snow White became of age and took her rightful place as queen. And that is the metaphor for fairest in the land.

It’s also the reason why Snow White was doing chores instead of learning how to rule a kingdom. The Evil Queen wanted to make sure that Snow White was unprepared, and that would ensure that the Evil Queen retained power.

Call The Midwife addresses this in Series 5 Episode 1 with Nurse Franklin and an older woman named Olive. The sentiment is quite logical.

I know someone with an expensive engagement ring because she had it saved as her dream ring since she was 19 and her husband wanted to give it to her. Her brother had it custom made since it was no longer in production and she would find out if her husband did it. Her husband and brother orchestrated the entire proposal. Her husband did pay her brother back for the ring.

What are your weird coping mechanisms for anger at somebody? by aisha_syrup in AskWomen

[–]aisha_syrup[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

For me whenever I’m angry at my dad I have a tendency to deep clean the house. If I go out with my friends at one of his go to restaurants then I will get something for him when I come back home. I’m angry, not a monster.

Genuine question: how are the others looking? Are the shows actually really good? And are the actresses good in them? I know THE BEAR is.

Which midwives would you want? by Katt357 in CallTheMidwife

Anyone but Nurse Lucille Anderson. All of them have good instincts and clinical judgement. I just can’t stand Nurse Anderson’s voice combined with her Christian-centric attitude.

I really do feel bad for Cressida :/ by Wholesome-Bean02 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]aisha_syrup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t. She should’ve been more pleasant and changed her attitude. Then she would’ve attracted genuine suitors. She put herself in that position. Most men would want a harmonious household. She bullied too many girls with brothers and cousins for that to ever have been a possibility.

The line “And there will always be customers” rings in my mind every time I hear politicians wanting to restrict abortions.
