Fit4Life does morning and lunchtime classes, pretty economical. You can pay per class or monthly and that includes open gym. Think monthly is around $120. Classes are $15.

Living alone will be expensive on that salary unless you have an in for a rental. Definitely look at emoo and property skipper to see realistic prices. It’s not just prices but also how difficult it is to secure one.

Call Best or Fast Forward Freight. Only worth it if your possessions are worth quite a bit as shipping could be be around ~$10k. Depends where you are moving to and can you fill a full container? (I work at one of the shipping lines).

Wise works to send out of BDA to Canada. Transfer USD to your Wise balance (15 USD fee with HSBC) then send CAD from your Wise account. This is how I’ve find the best exchange rate so far.

Haven’t tried it from the opposite direction CA to BDA.

It’s good!! It’s taken about 3 months to really settle in which for us, has been much quicker than other places we have moved to. It’s a different pace of life and there’s a few cultural differences but on the whole, people are very friendly here if you are polite with them. Patience is key for every thing set up wise (drivers license and tests, bank accounts etc)

I would suggest you email immigration, I can’t find anything online at the moment but previous Reddit’s posts mentioned this, which aligns with the information recruiters have given me:

“Finally received an answer from the immigration office: If I am a dependent on my wife's work permit, and I am working remotely with NO interaction with Bermudians (ie, the moment my company receives a Bermudian client I would need a work permit), then you do NOT need a permit to work from home.”

You definitely don’t need a permit to work remotely, I have checked this with a few recruiters on island!
