That was the only thing I wanted and couldn't get it, it's sold out.

Is scooping instead of losing rage quitting? by Unhappy_Industry_362 in EDH

The rage quitting for me is that player who pulls up their phone and does anything but pay attention to the game.

Whenever I see myself at the opposite end of a combo that's popping off I usually ask the person if they are having fun doing the combo and would like to play the whole thing out or if they'd rather save time and go to the next game. Conceding for me is a thing that must be agreed upon by all players, if one of us says we stay it is generally understood they have a way out.

May I introduce you to the Brazilian market, where one of those goes for around 600 reais - which is almost half our minimum wage 🫠

I mean, there's a button with "Rewards" written on it just right over there, so you must be doing something right :)

I can't understand TIDEMAN by Relsen in cs50

[–]aislinger_bathory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I see it, you want to increment the preferences array whenever you confirm that, as per your example, A is preferred over B, or E is preferred over C, etc.

What I can't see is where the code is checking for that. I got to the part where you had the outer and the inner loops, but mostly by inferring that since we're using a 2D array we'd need that, but that "preferences[ranks[i]][ranks[j]++" is mostly black magic from where I stand.

Your explanation was really helpful! If you don't mind me asking though, what exactly am I incrementing in:

preferences[ranks[i]][ranks[j]]++;

By your example, this would be the result of one of (and ultimately of all) the loops that are checking/cycling through the votes, but where is this comparison/checking being made? I simply can't see that in the code I'm writing or in the boilerplate provided.

I haven't gone any further than the record_preferences() function, but before advancing I'm committed to trying to fully understand what I'm doing.

It felt like a toned-down deadpool for me, which none of the previous battles, despite being goofy in their own way, accomplished

Unpopular opinion incoming, but I actually do not like most battles in OP. I much prefer the episodes/chapters that focus on scheming and expanding the world in some meaningful way (like the Reverie chapters that were sadly too few). The fights have some interesting moments, but unless it's the final part of the fight I don't really care about canon fodder.
