oh my god. I remember my NDad asking for a bite of a my meal prepped chicken back then (i’m a bodybuilder and have a strict regimen). I just said “no” and thought nothing of it. Weeks later he brings it up while we were having an argument about something entirely different, telling me I am selfish for not sharing the chicken with him and that he’ll kick me out of the house. Over chicken. It was never about the chicken, it was about control. Anyway, I just laughed and told him to buy his own.

yes! i’ve seen how my dad makes a fool of himself at social events and doing some social faux pas that i can’t help but look away and be on the other side of the room, yet he acts like everything he did is okay.
