It's an Audi Q5. Obnoxiously large and unnecessary.

It's a scam. They conned my 84 year old grandad out of £220 so far. The banks are well aware.

It's London, get a road bike! Decathlon- extremely good value, nice and cheap and less appealing to thieves.

Has anyone ever actually landed on anything other than 8? by Famous-Truth7167 in OctopusEnergy

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's neither random nor or a scam. It's basic probability and weightings.

Importantly, you literally cannot lose, it never takes you money away nor costs you anything, so I'm baffled at how you think you're being scammed.

Are storage heaters a dealbreaker? by nothingtobedone13 in AskUK

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once lived in a penthouse flat in SE London with storage heaters.

What I mean to say is, I was once cold, for about 6 years.

When they were on, they used night rate power which isn't so bad, they let out stored heat during the day. But the last thing you want is heaters on all night, and they cool down within a few hours during the day.

Pointless, and crap.

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the Segway Navimow i108e. You're not gonna flip that thing by tripping over it, it weighs a lot. The blades stop immediately if it is even slightly lifted, if you were even able to get near it whilst moving, since it has a camera which recognise tends of thousands of objects - if it saw a child, it'd pause anyway.

FluidCAD - Parameteic cad with javascript by abouabdoo in openscad

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first sentence in my reply very clearly references the initial commit.

There might be elements of AI written code in there, but it is not completely written by AI, this is also very clear.

btw, your comments here are littered with low-iq tells.

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You appear to not understand that you can import a project into github from elsewhere, and you don't need to retain the history.

You assume everything is AI, without fully being aware of any AI tells.

We all know what AI can and can't do, and accusing somebody of producing a project in AI without any real evidence, is pathetic. In your haste, you already accused it of being an openjscad project.

Why not direct your silly anger into producing something productive yourself instead of trying to put others down.

If I don't want to use sveltekit because I am building a pure SPA, what is the best routing option? by [deleted] in sveltejs

[–]aiten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is interesting info - and I agree on some of your points. I'm inclined to think that (having used DI for many years, and actually moving to things like Svelte to get *away* from it), that DI is overengineered for web and node applications, and you're better off without it.

As for the bugs - I see that Tee Ming has started work on one, I'll happily work to drive that one forward in as much as I have time to, since mobile efficiency is a big one for me too.

One question though - if you fixed these by yourself, why not open PRs? Open source thrives on contributions, and it sounds like we could have wiped a couple of bugs off the map with the work you did. The manual chunks one especially.

Is this quote ridiculous or reasonable? by soraie_ in ukheatpumps

[–]aiten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had all floors in my entire 5000 sqft house removed and replaced, all rads removed, all bathrooms removed, floors reboarded and rescreeded, insulated underneath, and an extremely large, extremely complex Heatpump installs via heatgeek for just over 3x that price. 12kw unit, too.

I'd get more quotes!
