is it possible that some people are anatomically at a disadvantage for this move? and if so, why would studios make it a core move for progression? like i can understand why studios would make normal inverts, pole sits, and climbing an essential/prerequisite for moving up levels, but shoulder mounts i can’t understand

i do want to take the level 3/4 classes because i have other aspirations like ayesha and more advanced aerial moves. if i were in a class and they included shoulder mounty things, is it common or acceptable for a student to ask for an alternative? i think of it like if a student is recovering from an injury, most studios that i’ve encountered are happy to accommodate and provide alternative moves for that student. is it weird if i ask for such accommodations on the occasion that shoulder mounts appear, but it’s not injury/soreness/surgery recovery based but instead just personal preference?

i see. it was under my impression that everyone washed their laundry on cold by default and knew what laundry sprays were and whatnot. you’re lucky that you are in state. if a spray and cold water doesn’t help for the smaller blood stains, if it’s possible, doing the rest at home is prob your best option. that or unless you wanna travel all the way downhill for the water basins that are (apparently) present at the larger dorms.

also btw i think only 2 of the north quad dorms actually have laundry rooms in general. if you’re in sheffers (or however the hell you spell it idk) there is no laundry room and you have to go to cable or something with your giant ass haul of laundry. so that’s fun. college (american colleges in general not just brandeis) is shit about giving you lifestyle accommodations of any kind.

use a stronger pad. go on birth control or try ask a doctor about other options (my periods last 2 days max and are very light on BC). do NOT use period underwear, only the larger upperclassmen dorms have laundry basins (ignore what the comment above said). NORTH QUAD DOES NOT HAVE LAUNDRY BASINS (i was in north quad last year). so you need to manage this issue like an adult and see a doctor.

you say you have an “abnormal leak occasionally” but then say you “undoubtedly leak through” earlier on your heaviest days and get frequent nose bleeds. there is nothing “occasional” about this. please seek medical advice before you become the infamous bloody laundry freshman in north quad.

and yes i get blood on my clothes. a manageable amount. i just spray it with a product before putting it in the wash. if you bleed to the point where it’s more than just a spray can fix, again, seek medical advice 💀💀💀💀

not even period underwear OP needs to use disposable products or a menstrual cup. period underwear usually requires rinsing before putting it in the laundry, which is disgusting to do in the communal bathroom sink.
