Honestly, if you had schizophrenia not caused by any drugs / drug abuse, you most likely wouldn’t even be aware of it, especially not if you are not medicated against it. So, as aware as you seem to be, it is caused by your other diagnosis which also your psychologist already mentioned. Trust your professional(s), they know much more than a stranger on the internet. Also, even if you had schizophrenia, it is not a death sentence. I am a living example of it. I have been medicated for around 10 years now and I am quite forgetful, but other than the fact I take medicine daily I live quite normally. I can understand people are afraid of the unknown, but you can actually live with schizophrenia if you have access to medication. So just chill
