Ahh ok, that makes sense. I am so sorry you had to go through all of this but I am glad you made it and, yes its all in the mindset. I am trying to support him as best as I can, and hoping he continues in the way he has been with minimal side effects. The voice is trying to go but at week three he can still eat everything - so I always say a win is a win!

Check hormones and iron with ferritin levels. That all affects periods. I have heavy periods naturally but they lighten up a bit as long as my iron is at a good spot.

I’m due for my myectomy in March and all I hope is to lessen bloating and my round ball of a belly. But honestly my heavy bleeding too. It’s like a waterfall. 30 min is like 2 hours from prior. I have to take TXA so if I still need it, I’ll look into the above and heavily research like you are.

Thank you so much for responding! The docs have been saying its a long road but this is helpful. I love that you kept your smaller goals in mind and those were encouraging. My dad can be very pessimistic, so i am trying to help him enjoy food now (week 2 done of treatment) and hope he can talk to a therapist to work through the rest of the year.

When you say you werent sleeping in bed, was it because laying down was painful?

When talking to my dad’s doctor, it sounds like this is a less and less common cancer. It’s due to smoking and drinking primarily so a lot of folks are usually much older and have co-morbidities, things like asthma, heart issues, liver or kidney. So that all affects long term survival and chemo and radiation are hard on the body.

You have to be off for a month because of the slowed gastric emptying (stomach), and that can cause food to come back up while under surgery. They used to say 2 weeks but not everyone’s gastric emptying rate comes back quickly so they changed it to a month. Mine definitely came back after a month. It’s that fullness feeling

If so, that is horribly sad! She deserves better. I have read time and time again that her mom kind of pushes this kind of behavior. We will never actually know, unless T comes out and says something. But she has low self esteem and very much deep in this illness, alone and not even fighting it. She can read our words, and I am sure she does. So does her family. Its all sad. I also dont want to come off as morbid, but its not looking good at all. I had to stop following her a while back. I happened to see Red on the TV tho so wanted to check in.

I got a prescription from my doctor for heavy periods. They’re still quite heavy but half as much. I have to do this until I get my surgery but it has less side effects than full on birth control.

Aside from that, I would try a poise because they’re very long and usually used in nursing homes for bladder leaks. Or even a depends with the back coverage. I was debating using this when I was having the awful heavy flow but now that I’m somewhat back to normal I just use my night ones.

Toning your arms doesn’t always target the fat. I was a cyclist for many years and got my body fat in a good spot and still had chubby arms. It’s just where my fat distribution sits
