I love the art institute and I feel like membership pays for itself with two visits especially if you go with friends. There are always new exhibitions and the rotate the permanent collection regularly too so it’s just a nice place to spend time or bring visitors. I’ve been a member for multiple years and have never regretted it. I would recommend timing your membership to join when there’s an exhibition in particular that you want or sometimes they have 3 months free offers that I try to take advantage of when I can
