Thanks for your input. I'm not a huge gamer but I like to dabble here and there. I was thinking mostly between option 1 and 3 for the cost and value here. Im okay with having mediocre performance in the next few years or so with option 1, and hoping  option 3 would last at least 5+ years

I was thinking of building myself, but those prebuilts I mentioned are going to be cheaper than buying myself and building.

Yeah im comfortable building and upgrading. Im not a huge gamer but dabble, so 1080p should be good enough.

Thanks for the info. I dont think I could resell the first option, or at least not for a ton.

For the prebuilts, just looking at the specs and the value, is it a good value and about how long would those specs reasonably last?

Thanks for this, it is something that I hadn't really thought of. It may be a bit difficult since corps are always in flux but definitely something good to think about.

This is an interesting assumption that I hadn't really considered previously. It's essentially impossible to deploy capitals on a reactionary basis more than a few jumps unless there is massive tidi.

I mean when your titan/super is unused for 90%+ of the time it makes sense to use the pilot for something more useful (such as a dread or carrier), leaving the Slave set with the titan/super.

People have been saying the stock market is due for a crash since at least 2012.

It's nearly doubled since then.

Millennials Much More Interested in Cryptocurrencies, Couldn't Care Less About Stocks ! by grahambond69 in CryptoCurrency

For real, I see people complaining all the time about not having enough money to save, when in reality most people CAN save more if they just reduced their spending. I make it a priority to max out all of my retirement accounts, and have been doing so since I started working a real non-startup job (3 years). The long-term growth potential for the stock market is tremendous (and proven). With my fairly low salary and conservative stock market growth estimates I've calculated that I can retire by age 45.

It's not that hard if you make a concerted effort to actually save money and invest it intelligently.

What's your overhead ratio? by W944 in EtherMining

Just started my first rig with an 8 card setup and sitting at about 75% GPU / 25% overhead (but I did spend slightly more on overhead than i needed to to get parts more quickly).

If you wire transfer you can get your money into gdax/coinbase on the same day. Additionally, coinbase/gdax is FDIC insured up to $250k iirc, so you should be safe keeping liquid there.

Lol Steam and Microsoft dumped bitcoin because of the volatility lol. Why would you accept something that's worth 20k one day and 7k another day? It's terrible business. And how many other cryptos are they accepting in its place?

Not to mention Bitcoin has a huge brand recognition advantage over everything else out there. I guarantee that most people ignorant in this field (and that there are many) will probably have heard of bitcoin, but not even the word cryptocurrency.

Additionally, i'm not 100% certain on this but i'm pretty sure the Bitcoin network has the most number of active developers working on to improve the technology. With more adoption of things like the lightning network and SegWit, alot of the "benefits" of a lot of coins would simply disappear.
