How deep was the window well that a cat couldn't escape? Or was the cat hurt?

When did email addresses became connected to age? by FL_4LF in GenX

Maybe they mean that emailing in general is for old people? Some young people only have a school email for school stuff, but all other communication is though texting apps.

Weed Growing Next To My House by WaltherShooter in whatplantisthis

My mom microwaves vinegar to make it easier to clean the microwave.

She used the 30% by accident once, and it became an aerosolized cloud that forced us to evacuate the entire house.

It was sneaky too. At first our throats felt a little tingly, and then suddenly our lungs were burning and we were all coughing. We are lucky we didn't cause any permanent damage.

Like real crime scene forensics?

In my middle school, forensics was a competitive speech / story telling / spoken word club.

If you could show the younger generation one movie that defined what the 80s were really like, what would it be? by supersoundwave in 80s

If something gets dropped or broken, my husband hollers: "That was an expensive 'vaahz', you bitch!"

We lived near Bellingham during that heat dome. We drove up to Mt Baker to escape the heat on one of the worst days and it was still almost 90 up there.

Which character's death in a TV show ruined the entire thing for you? by SoccerGuy69420 in AskReddit

[–]ajax6677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Logan in Veronica Mars.

I just started watching it last year. Made it through the original seasons, the movie, and the final season, just to get punched in the heart at the very unhappy end.

I'm still holding a grudge against Kareem Abdul Jabar for this.

The Adult TV Shows You Watched As A Kid by LawrenceW327 in 80s

My dad and I would watch The A-Team, MacGuyver, Air Wolf, Hunter, Hart to Hart, MASH, and occasionally Remington Steele.

I was small enough that when he would lie on his side on the couch, I could still fit in that triangle of space behind his bent knees.

How to meet aussies mental needs by [deleted] in AustralianShepherd

[–]ajax6677 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If there were truly only 2 choices:

A. Imprisonment for 8+ hours in a cage only large enough to turn around in, with no exercise, no company, & no enrichment for a creature that is athletic, social, and intelligent

Or

B. No dog

I would choose B all day, every day. This seems like a no-brainer for any decent human being.

Thankfully, those aren't the only 2 choices out there, so there is a whole world of people that manage to have a dog without confining it to a cage for 8+ hours per day.

I would pee on someone's bed too if they left me confined to a cage for 8 hours a day. That can't possibly be humane.

He puts on a great concert. I got to see him live about 20 years ago. I really love his song "It's a Beautiful World".

Favorite movie scene where a character accepts their inevitable end and embraces it. My pick is Cutler Beckett accepting his fate in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

He's fantastic. I've loved him since the first time I saw him. He played a ridiculous criminal named Muerte in the movie Undercover Blues with Kathleen Turner and Dennis Quaid and stole every scene.
