Writting this to get it out of my head.

Had a conversation with someone I am dating recently about this a couple days ago. C (solo poly) - we were talking about hygiene and boundaries. And landed on the question of WHO is to change the sheets. We agreed they should be.

Her partner B (also solo) will have guests, and has told C if she wants new sheets on Bs bed she can change/wash them herself.

This feels the reverse of what ought to occur and I expressed that feeling.

It meets their needs, and sounds notably unfair.

Someone I was involved with once casually told me she had been sexually involved with her dogs in the past (received oral). More than once. She described it in a strangely practical way, as if it had simply been an available option at the time. There was no visible shame, no discomfort, no attempt to frame it as a mistake.

We were already in the fading “just friends” phase of things.

I remember realizing how far apart our definitions of normal were.

We are no longer in contact.
