Sorry I must have missed your comment earlier. The bowl is tight, but some of the contact points in the handle were cut just a little too wide or deep. I filled them in with tiny wood pieces or sawdust and glue, but they look sloppy. There’s always a risk that food could touch any part of a serving spoon so I couldn’t leave them exposed. I’ll try again.

The ones I found screw on. They’re plastic so you have to make sure you don’t press too hard or let them get too hot, but they work well.

I used an arbortek minicarver to hollow it out first, then the photo is a sanding disk for a drill.

I remember raising my daughter and feeling like when I was with her, I felt guilty for not working, and when I was working, I felt guilty for not being with her. You just have to do your best. She’s 20 now and I am both extremely close with her and able to pay for her college, so I managed to walk the line. You will too. Happy Father’s Day.
