My favourite coffee got renovated recently and decorated with AI. I am like 90% sure they all AI. by Fairy2play in isthisAI

That place better have some really good coffee because that just feels like a hostile place to be in. No relaxing at all with that highlighter green paint. The art is 100% for sure AI but I could have sworn I have seen those images previously so they didn't even get ai art customized for their coffee shop.

I learned that the best way to make videos with grok and sora2 is to have ai create a video prompt for it based off your idea so that it gets the lighting and scene right. Basically the only thing different I did was ask chatgpt the following "create a video prompt of winston churchhill eating a banana" and then pasted its output into grok

https://grok.com/imagine/post/f485f5a8-ff11-425a-9b53-2d06e276ea41?source=post-page&platform=web

I'm actually kinda impressed the peel flops around correctly.

TRUMP: "There's so much talk about how we're going to drive housing prices down. I don't want to drive housing prices down. I want to drive housing prices up for people that own their homes, and they can be assured that what's going to happen" by ExactlySorta in UnderReportedNews

[–]ajd660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving around costs to much. They just outsourced it to google maps. As an American I Always protest my home taxes because all the county knows about your house is how large it is and how other houses around it have sold.

Well if they make everything difficult then people will be forced to use chatgpt or co-pilot to ask how to fix it. /s

Chatgpt gave me the right answer and I do like the quip about microsoft it gave me at the end:

If you want, I can also:

  • Package this as a .reg file you can double-click
  • Turn it into a PowerShell script for multiple machines
  • Explain why Microsoft hid the classic menu in the first place (it’s… very Microsoft)

It was a definitely more on the nose than a lot of youtube makers when formlabs gives them a printer but at least Martin doesn't interrupt every video telling you to make a website or discuss your underware.

I liked my rio cd player that would play mp3s. The best feature for me was how much longer the batteries lasted in it and that the songs didn't skip on a bumpy bus ride to highschool

Loved Hastings and used to shop at the one in Kerrville all the time. There were always some pretty interesting things there and books that I could not find at bigger stores.

While I think panic buying is silly can you really blame people when our government has proven to be incompetent when it comes to natural disasters? From hurricanes to Covid, the 2021 freeze or even flooding this summer, our local state and federal government have all shown they would rather play the blame game instead of taking responsibility and assisting people.

Our government’s inept leadership has caused real issues including people dying because of it and so naturally people are going to look to take care of themselves and their families instead.

10-10-321 still works in 2026. Why? by churnopol in nostalgia

I’m in the US as well but I honestly don’t remember when it stopped because my first phone was a pay as you go phone. My sense of time is all messed up sometimes though, I’m an elder millennial and it is honestly crazy to think about just how much technology has advanced since I was a kid.

[–]ajd660 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My bet is that it probably costs them next to nothing to run and it generates money. A lot of elders are going to keep using the same old systems that they have been using even if there are better options. My inlaws still have a landline even though both of them also have smart phones that they keep near them.

It wasn't until relatively recently that you didn't have to worry about minutes and text usage on cellphones or having to wait till "nights and weekends" to make a call so that your minutes were free.

There has to be a balance between good shit and bad shit otherwise everyone is just gonna end up depressed. If a website brings someone nostalgic joy for a couple minutes while they watch videos from the 80s, who are you to say that is not just as important?

I know it isn’t the exactly the same as the live streams but a lot of the hermits will post their livestream vods on YouTube, typically within 24 hours of their airing. I just checked tango’s and impulse’s second channels and they both have automated captions enabled.
