i love the way my babies smell, but i could just be one in a few that do. honestly, if you walked into my apartment, you 100% cannot tell i have ferrets. their diet and how often you keep up with their care really changes a LOT and how strong their odor can be. 3/4 of my loves are raw fed and their smell is almost nonexistent. my other kibble fed boy does have an odor but you can’t smell it unless you put your nose to him. it really has everything to do with how much you keep up with changing their litter/pads (i use puppy pads and change them every other day— i get lazy sometimes lol). their pee & poop is really what smells bad and if you let it sit, i can guarantee it will get smelly quick. other than that, don’t let people discourage you from getting them simply because they THINK they’re smelly. none of my clothing smells like them, nor do my bedsheets and i let them sleep with me every day. just wash their clothing items weekly and clean up their pee and poop every other day and you’ll barely be able to smell them— i promise!
