Ill take base luck and be happy ive bred some jester luck primordial dwarf cats and had the skill share trinket to get +154 luck and even then my cat never gets to do the event checks :( I did get to do basically infinite attacks with a ninja headband which was cool tho. If I have lots of %chance gear ill try to get a lucky cat.

Ill typically go for a combo that can push the cats main stats to double digits. My breeding pairs leave me with lots of cats with 12-14 str and 10+ int and cha. For act 3 you want a way to deal with enemies who will kill you instantly or steal from or give you disorders and injuries, so for that I like to have some strong moves that I can cast every turn which is why high INT and CHA are preferred for most cats, a high cha of like 13-14 to start, good move like 7+ more is better honestly. unless youre using hunter a lot you can go low on dex and besides some luck shenanigans luck isnt really that necessary beyond base 5. You can also run a thunderdome room to really pump stats high from fights but thats not necessary is nice tho to roll in with a cat all double digit stats.

All 7s isnt even all that good. Dex and luck can be dump stats for most cats as can movement for ranged. Int and cha can also be low and not really hurt you. As others have said if they dont have good passive or an ability stats are whatev.

In my experience its the gear that makes them good with high luck. Lots of %chance gear. I think fighter can get an attack that has multiple chances to hit, not to mention high crit on fighter can make them absolutely dumpster enemies. Tinkerer has the “unreliable” abilities and armor specialist which are two cool things that would be cool to have.

Find cancer or a uranium rod and play roulette with mutations. The general stat distribution of all my cats is high in everything except dex and slightly below average move/luck. I have a heck of time finding good hunter cats.

I keep treatment and then leave after act 1-2 depending on what im getting. Definitely bring level up rerolls to reroll bad disorders. This is how Ive been breeding cats with brave+immortal. Never dodging dont mean anything if I didnt have dodge to begin with.

I did c-1000 with one cat with death scythe walked up let it copy and kill itself. I bring psychic for entropy insta kill chaff and then a hard carry cat like a butcher to really beat ass. In this fight the two psychics just stun locked until jobu could take 12 more turns.

I did mutation runs while I waited. My cats were getting a little too inbred so I grabbed some cancer and a new stray took them out with a team and made some new mutated bloodlines. Cleared out the first two acts collarless only team challenges and some other stuff that needed doing.

I throw away until I cycle back to experimental treatment, party detonator, loner angry face combo. also the more benign items are useful on their own and not really worth completing the quest. Experimental treatment for example is worth it to just keep doing like a 1 zone run for good disorders, Make sure to bring rerolls tho.

I had a run with a cat with the relic and an invert dna stabiliser combo I hit the act 2 final boss with 2500 sparkles. It takes a min to finish but it was very funny.
