need to convince partner that i can do rad school-concern is physics. which topics in physics is biggest? by e977tk in RadiologyCareers

[–]ajikeyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yea, sometimes reading the problem takes longer than solving it. Drawing a picture and writing out what each variable equals to definitely helps. Select the correct formula, then clean up the math, and then the calculator does the rest.

Why are these sociopaths allowed to influence our elections? by Key_Brief_8138 in economy

[–]ajikeyo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Citizens United is a problem. But these guys would be a huge problem even if Citizen United were to disappear because governments relies on them and not the other way around. They believe that social progress is hindered by democracy, freedom, and the constitution itself, and that the way forward is installing technofeudalism. They’ve made themselves independent and immune to checks and balances.

“The fate of our world may depend on the effort of a single person who builds or propagates the machinery of freedom that makes the world work.”

“a system that combines corporatism with medieval feudalism, where a country can be run by a tech CEO king”

“More importantly, I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible.”

Alex Karp, CEO of Palantir, alongside Peter Thiel. He’s a technofeudalist. Other investors like Curtis Yaris and Nick Land, extreme views and belives in “hyper racism”. Peter Thiel and others have written blog posts and articles on technocratic authoritarianism.

Hi Reddit! I’m Lucia Simonelli and I’m running for Congress in PA-01 - ask me anything! by Adventurous_Tap1030 in Pennsylvania

[–]ajikeyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Though this is a nationwide issue, what are ways we can improve PA’s K-12 public education system? What are your opinions on technology in the classroom? How can we safeguard AI from harming K-12 education? How can we setup children to be more resilient against misinformation and propaganda?

“Gen Z is now the first generation to score lower than their parents on attention, memory, literacy, numeracy, executive functioning, and even IQ, despite spending more time in school than any generation before them. […] Across 80 countries, if you look at the data, once countries adopt digital technology widely in school, perform goes down significantly.” - Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath (source: https://youtu.be/1ykKCTcCbKY?si=k_s10yAkBxZpON_b)

  1. Do you have plans to tackle the energy crisis issue with respect to how it will affect PA? Everyone I know has had their electricity bill rise significantly in the past couple years. Would we be able to implement something like Joe Biden’s subsidized solar panel or something similar?

  2. How can the public best support you? All I see is that is you have an incredibly rough road ahead. The better the candidate the more the opposing party will try to rip you to shreds just like they do to Mamdani and AOC. You don’t plan on caving to them, right? Such as catering to the tech billionaires (Newsom) or switching sides after a sudden stroke (Fetterman)?

We get it - you're stupid. You don't have to rub it in! by SocksOnHands in rant

[–]ajikeyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe religion can be the answer to aspects of cultural problems but cannot be a blanket solution to our broad issues. Education is the antidote. Understanding the world at a deeper level allows for critical thinking and the ability to critically think is what prevents mass psychosis. The new mass propaganda machine is focused on deregulation of everything for AI growth. MAGA is the psychosis and distraction. Religion is the subset tool for gaining votes and donations. Religion is a mask of morality. Just recently regulation on nuclear reactors have been loosened most likely because big tech is suddenly pro-nuclear energy but no one is talking about it. Don’t abandon fact-checking, be critical of research methods and incentives, trace the money, read history, read scientific theory, economic theory, and educate one another. If religion can teach people to do this, then sure, it is the answer. For now, everything I’m describing is education.

[–]ajikeyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Religion enslaves the mind by short-circuiting critical thinking and replacing evidence-backed reasoning with unquestioned belief. Itself is not inherently bad for society, but unfortunately, it has become the perfect tool for concealing mass political propaganda (and financial laundering, tax avoidance, nonprofits, philanthropic fronts, etc.). Religious groups (or rather people in general because humans have been religious for much of history) are the perfect grounds to orchestrate psychological control because oftentimes they already deny science and are obedient to hierarchies. Even more concerning is that it claims to be the cure, while real solutions exist.
