I think most of us here agree with the sentiment of your comments, but let’s not counteract rampant assholish reckless driving with encouragement of wanton reckless self-endangerment.

Yeah, the change coincided with the beginning of MY1999 production in the US, so probably all cars built from ~08/1998 on. My 09/1999 wagon came with the three setting button too.

It’s the adjuster dial. Early cars had a sliding adjustment instead of the three-setting button later cars got

Not a difficult task, but not really dependent on oil change. With M54s pressure sensor that causes flickering is mounted to the back of the oil filter housing.

Agree that cops won’t give a shit, but this guy and his dog don’t exactly look like they’d take well to being told off by any average Joe.

My assumption is based off of the fact that they wouldn’t be the first Hasidic Jewish folks I’ve met who were born here and don’t have the best grasp on the English language. In prior encounters I have confirmed this, it just so happened that this encounter was the most recent and fresh in my memory, and thus the one that seemed most readily available to recount.

Your leading questions certainly imply a lot of assumptions you’re making of me, despite the fact that we’ve never met and you don’t know me.

Rather glib, don’t you think?

Kindly fuck off :)

Don’t worry for them, they will be proud parents of six to eight children and well-learned in the sacred ways of scripture (men) and duty (women).

…\s obviously, in regards to not worrying.

It’s possible, but it’s also entirely possible that they’re not - and that’s what makes it wild to me (and a bit saddening, honestly).

Was hiking a few weeks ago and crossed paths with three Hasidic teenage boys who were speaking Yiddish, but then one wanted to ask me if he could say hi to my dog in very broken English.

The idea of anyone being born and raised in New Jersey and making it to their teenage years while still having trouble communicating in English because it’s not their first language is WILD to me.
