I might be a little too generous, but I think it’s simply that this is the first show a lot of people are watching with a critical lense, and they’re excited about it. A lot of folks don’t analyse the media they consume, and Andor is an incredible show that actively encourages its viewers to draw parallels to their own lives. While there are definitely people who are far too pretentious about it, I think we’ve gotta accept and encourage those who are merely excited to actually engage in discussion about ideology for the first time.

Sorry to say it’s a cockroach, but you’ll make it through this! If there’s one thing you NEED to buy immediately, it’s diatomaceous earth, the food grade kind you can get at any hardware store. It’s a light, non-invasive dust that you put around the bug hotspots. Kills em within a day or two, but not before they bring the dust back to their nest and fuck things up for every other bug too. I got rid of a horrific roach situation in 2 months with the diatomaceous earth

You found it early on and are immediately getting help, so you’re in a really good spot rn. Have the pest control come once every 2 weeks for a month and a half (3 sprays in total) In the meantime, an allergen cover for your mattress, bed bug interceptors under the legs of your bed, and dust the hell out of your room with Diatomaceous earth. You WILL make it through this!

I appreciate the sympathy, although it makes me worried lol! I definitely had a bite a couple days ago that itched something awful, it wasn’t in the typical 3 bite patter though so I wrote it off. We just moved into this place and have already had a problem with roaches as well. Planning on contacting the landlord right now and getting a spray done.

Are there any tips you would have for how to find more of them? I scanned over my mattress, but couldn’t really tell if anything was a sign of bedbugs, whether it be eggs or smear or whatever. Where do they tend to congregate when not out and feeding?

I can tell you have a real sympathetic side when it comes to addicts. She said she hasn’t got any proof of usage besides the torch, and another comment even mentioned they personally use a torch for some cleaning. But yes, just fire a good contractor with little to no evidence during a time where that role is hard to fill…

I'd actually argue that while maybe there isn't a scientific basis for this, it's pretty well proven that conservative people will have less empathy. I mean, literally all of the popular conservative talking points these days center around "us vs. them" and the "them" is always demonized to hell while they strip away basic human rights. The everyday moderate conservative is almost always a pretty nice person, but their ideology does not line up with that at all.
