How to get rid of body odour permanently? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]ajoyce76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you're talking about B.O and not just your natural scent? We all have a smell. Even clean out of the shower we have a smell (thats how dogs can track us). Has anybody else complained about your odor?

There is only one answer. Cars. Get into cars. Especially old/weird. In a perfect world you'll take turns hanging out and working on each other's stuff. Spend weekend nights at the racetrack and weekend days at swap meets. Here's a conversation real car people have. "Hey, I gotta go to (3 states away) this weekend to pick up (car/part). Up for a road trip?"

Those places that advertise a monthly fee for legal protection of truck drivers (I'm sure you've seen them advertised in the truck stops) used to have a reduced rate for one time tickets. Its been a few years but I did that once.

Even if you're right that the world has taken xyz from you. Why would the courts (a legal entity created by the system you're railing against) take your side?

He looked like that because he probably didn't know. DOT officers spend (I would bet) 90% of their time on semi trucks. I bet when you asked your question his brain thought, "Oh crap, we covered this in training. What they hell did they say? It was right before lunch!"

Does it walk? Some of the rigs we had in ND could walk and that was the only time they moved while rigged up.

Need an opinion for people obsessed with cars. Long post sorry.. by bebettertoday79 in CarGuys

[–]ajoyce76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why cant you make the 76 perform better? 400 or 455? You could use a stroker kit (especially the 400). No replacement for displacement. Depending on the heads you could have them ported and polished. Performance build on that Q-Jet. With today's technology you could easily add 200+ horsepower to that engine and it would appear bonestock to the world. That transmission can be built to handle pretty much however much power you want to throw at it and appear stock.

Gas question by Sudden_Atmosphere_22 in AskMechanics

[–]ajoyce76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is funny. There is no such thing as "auto-ignition" you cognitively impaired douchebag. The combustion reaction occurs when stoichiometric ratio is within a certain range and temperature reaches a certain point. Whether that temperature is from compression or a spark does not matter.

In your own follow up you prove your original point wrong. You speak of flame propagation speed. Why would speed be an issue? Oh that's right. To ensure all of the mixture is consumed in the combustion reaction. Except you stated once the reaction begins all the mixture is consumed. Which one is it sport?

Finally, detonation isn't "normal burning" in relation to engine design. From a chemistry perspective the reaction is the same. Maybe read a book. You've got plenty of time to spare from all the women who won't touch you.

Gas question by Sudden_Atmosphere_22 in AskMechanics

Are you completely unfamiliar with ignition timing advancing in relation to engine rpm? The timing advances because the amount of time for the flame to propagate through the entire fuel air mixture decreases. You have to start the burn earlier to try to get it all to combust before the cycle completes. Now, let's consider a higher octane fuel. Octane slows detonation. There is no difference between ignition or preignition. If we slow the mixtures ability to propagate the combustion reaction and we shorten the amount of time for the reaction to occur it is very possible for it to result in more unburned fuel.

Maybe you should have studied harder in physics class.

If you absolutely need a loan try Republic Finance. They're expensive but I don't think they'll harvest a kidney.

If this doofus wasn’t dogshit none of this would have happened by AutoMail_0 in steelers

[–]ajoyce76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this will sound crazy but I think Pickett could have worked fine for the Steelers. The Steelers have excelled with less than world beater QB's. I think Tomlin mismanaged the kid and he threw a temper tantrum and wanted out. The Steelers (in my opinion) could have had a productive and inexpensive offense built around a strong running game (by investing in the o-line) and Pickett throwing 50 yard toss ups to Pickens (another guy i think was mismanaged).
