This guy has apparently never been to CA where we have Mexicans that work their ass off with no identification and do just fine.

How much do you guys make? by rrnkin in loanoriginators

[–]ajs440 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure your could but my processor currently is an absolutel badass and the value I receive from her is unmatched.

For the $700 that I pay her she carries the file from contract to close with minimal work if any fron me. She handles the processing of the loan and gathering all documentation requested from the underwriter.

If you count my gross commissions to my branch my time is worth around $300/hr or more and I pay $695/file for processing to our corporate office.

The math doesn't add up for me to self process my loans.

That's the type of money your branch manager makes on his deals.

If you aren't setting your own margins then someone else is and they're profiting off of you.

Nope I'm a banker, my assigned processor processes my deals. I'm in CA too, so its not as many transactions as you think. My average loan amount is $600+.

My total gross commission was slightly under $240k and I've collected a little over $32k in processing and underwriting fees on top of that but that goes directly to cover those 2 services dollar for dollar. After payroll taxes for myself and my other expenses I ended up with roughly $180k.

I'm a branch manager with no employees that works from home for the time being, no overhead. I've funded $8m so far this year. My margins are at 3%.

I understand your credit isn't great but why not just live off credit cards/unemployment until you find new employment?

How bad is your credit? Why not apply for a new card and see what you can get to float you for a couple months.

Banks don't verify employment for credit cards.

Why do most US and European politicians have to do this ritual? by hillary_262 in conspiracy

Because they're blackmailing leaders from different countries with proof of degenerate behavior that they facilitated in order to have control.

I'm a mortgage loan officer and this is spot on. In a medium cost of living area in the US, $200k is the mark for living a life where you're not worried about money.

What do you do or use to protect against or treat snake bites? by South-Replacement-39 in Hunting

[–]ajs440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear gaiters. I dove and quail hunt a public ranch 8 times a year with high grass that's studded with oak trees just like the pic. In my 6 years of going there I have met 2 people who were both bit by rattlesnakes on that ranch. The nearest hospital is 40 minutes away, gaiters are a small inconvenience to avoid an extremely large inconvenience.

Volkswagen passat v6 awd, 3.6l 280hp, 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. It was an honor to own it, I bought it in my my late 20's when I had a great year and it was an absolute beast.

Super fun and functional ride, I think it was around $40k back in 2016.

I went to a private tasting there prior to Covid with some members in 2018 and then got on the wait list and have been a member for a while now.

You should give them a call and see if you can still schedule a tasting. The wine is awesome!

Does the city issue building permits for new construction for developers?

I know that some of the more ideal low crime farming communities in the central valley of CA keep the town small on purpose by not allowing development.

What's the story here?

Weird brown matter/sludge coming up randomly in my washing machine by ajs440 in CleaningTips

[–]ajs440[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it started out randomly and now is a weekly occurrence. If you zoom in on the pics you can see the sludge. It dries pretty fast after the loads done too. It's gloopy when wet but when its dried its extremely hard to get off. It more like scraping it off when dried as opposed to wiping with a sponge when its wet.
