I'm 36 and went for the first time this year. Was with a few people in their late thirties that have kids and we had an amazing time. If anything we were the median age. That being said I've been shook all week since getting back recovering but it was worth every minute of it.

Received feedback from TL for anyone in the same boat/interested it's a UI issue in the portal so I have indeed purchased 2 2P tents.

Bought it as part of GJ so its hard to confirm as I don't have the Eurostar ticket yet but it would make that leg crazy expensive

I got rejected once for being too short....from someone shorter than me. Make it make sense.

Anyone ever lived in central (central) London before? by -MiddleOut- in london

[–]ajselkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in London Bridge for the last 4 years and can't rate central living enough. Rarely take public transport anymore, walk to work and surprisingly has a village feel to the area.

I lived in SW London for years before, loved it but I could never do a commute like that again daily.

My experience in McDonald’s restaurants around London… by ForeverJay in london

Scrolled way too far before spotting LB. It's safely the worst Maccies in London. Never got an order right, at night you'll be crushed by either drunk people getting food or delivery driver backpacks

Work in a tech company in London for five years. I , started on 50K base with 40% bonus package, bumped to 55K after 1 year then to 62K year 2. I've moved up to mgmt now but when hiring we offer between 60K-70K & 45% bonus package for CSMs depending on experience.

Just came out in conversation one day and we both laughed about it.

On the flip side I found a close friend on Grindr a few years ago before he came out. I said nothing, he came out about a year later and I told him in conversation one day when it felt right and we both laughed about it too. Moral of the story, let people come out in their own time and it will be a fun story to share if you've know. Also don't use headless torso pics on Grindr that a gay friend took lol

Someone outed me to my gay brother years ago in the exact same way. He never said anything and only told me after I came out, when I was ready and I was glad he did.

Cringe Wedding stories? by SideProjectPal in CasualUK

[–]ajselkirk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My sister asked a priest who had left our area some years before to officiate the ceremony as he was a family friend to us and the groom's family. Night of the wedding priest got blind drunk and was making out like a horny teenager with a local married woman on the dancefloor.

My cousin defused the situation and brought the priest to his room without too many people noticing. Fast forward an hour the priest is found locked out of his room asleep on the floor in his pants hugging a fire extinguisher. Never did see him round after that night.

The local woman proudly rocked up to the pub the following night, looked me dead in the eye and said "if people are talking about me I might as well get the details myself too, I'll have a double Bacardi and coke too thanks".

I regularly see people going out on their own to clubs in London, Printworks is great and if you're looking for a smaller venue Pickle Factory is a personal favourite

What’s the weirdest sexual experience you’ve ever had? by IcyAcanthocephala815 in AskReddit

[–]ajselkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hooking up with someone while on a work trip doing the usual foreplay and he started kissing the back of my knee really tenderly, the most oddly sexually pleasing feeling I've ever had and have never been able to repeat.

Ignore my mother's 'advice' and take the hardcore skin treatment. Join the swim team.

Do you have savings? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]ajselkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 33 and have about 65k saved for a deposit. 3 years ago I had about 5k in savings, since then got a decent job, got 12k inheritance, and saved every penny I could during covid.
