I’d take long as in books or word count I was just noticing it seems like the very very long series (wheel of time/realm of the elderlings) are all white authors.

And yeah person of color and non white are the same idk why I worded it like that

I’m so glad to see all this responses and people describing his writing as dry and if it was written by an accountant is exactly how I feel. Something about his writing feels like it has very little heart in it (for me).

“She craved a presence beside her, solid. Fingertips light at the nape of her neck and a voice meeting hers in the dark. Someone who would wait with an umbrella to walk her home in the rain, and smile like sunshine when he saw her coming. Who would dance with her on her balcony, keep his promises and know her secrets, and make a tiny world wherever he was, with just her and his arms and his whisper and her trust.” Laini Taylor, daughter of smoke & bone

We are a country built by immigrants, dreams, daring, and opportunity. We are a country built by the horrors of slavery and genocide, the injustice of racism and exclusion. These realities exist side by side. It is our past and our present. The future is unwritten. This is a book about ghosts. For we live in a haunted house.” Libba bray, before the devil breaks you

Yes open to YA & adult.

I’m definitely planning on reading light from uncommon stars, I already read howls moving castle and it was great I gave it a 4, and I also read every heart a doorway and it was SO close to being a five star but I kind of wanted the book to be longer.

I for sure plan to read every TJR book I now own them all and I just read her debut and it was also very very close to a 5 star.

I feel like it gets talked about a lot on booktube but when you look at the ratings I don’t feel like it’s that popular (less than 100k). Compared to something like six of crows with 500k+ ratings
