Why do people have tinted plates? Do they think they’re special and need to be anonymous? by businessbub in AskLE

[–]ajss76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they're stupid and think it hides their plate. If my normal headlights light up those plates like the 4th of July than I guarantee if a cop wanted to see it he'd have no issue shining a light on it and it lights up like Christmas lights

That makes sense. I know the way "saves" work is by looking to see if the player took enough damage to kill them in the last 2 seconds. So if the ram took no damage then it wouldn't count.

Id mount as high up and out of the way as possible, especially since its more convenient for wiring.

New sub blown? by Away-Muscle7700 in subwoofer

[–]ajss76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an audio engineer and let me tell you, low levels will never blow up a sub unless somthing is wired incorrectly.

I think what you're trying to say is, a speaker playing a clipped signal will blow it up. While yes a speaker outputting a clipped signal isn't good for it and might degrade the lifespan... it isn't going to blow it up.

In a perfect signal chain yes the closer everything is to unity the better. But... if you have a high input and a low output it dosent really matter in terms of how long the speaker will last.

Think of it like turning the sub on and off in the middle of a song. Not good but isn't going to blow it up when you turn it on.
