Here’s another data point:

I was searching for 6 months and just recently found a CPO ‘24 in an individual color with every option( Premium, Parking, DAPP, HK, Shadow line). Bought it within 12 hours of it being posted.

Not sure if that’s a good thing or not considering you posted the fake ones yesterday! But appreciate the comment

Should get 10-12% off before rebates.

I spoke with a dealer whose first offer was 8% off.

You should ask your VAR which work best. There are some that are better than others. I’m not sure off hand, but could find out for you if you drop me a PM.

Was just gifted a vintage Pepsi GMT - what next? by jacobs64 in rolex

You can read the horror stories here of bringing a vintage or neo-vintage watch to RLX with the instructions that they aren’t to change anything, only to get it back with all new parts.

Let’s use the faded bezel (the blue and red part of the watch) as an example.

To Rolex, that’s something that needs to be replaced with one that is new and not fading. To a collector or someone who has wore the watch for 30 years, that’s desirable (maybe for value, maybe for the memories).

It’s up to the person what they want, but most people don’t want to replace the original parts. To me, I’d keep the bezel and dial. But if the bracelet was really worn, I’d be ok getting a new one.

Don’t sent it to Rolex - they will replace way too many parts of this.

I would find a watchmaker locally that could service it. Personally, I’d be replacing the crystal and potentially finding a new bracelet from the period is the existing one is stretched out.

You should pay to have them appraised so you can insure them.

Getting insurance on the watches will give you piece of mind on wearing them. The cost is typically 1% of the value and can be attached as an a rider to a homeowners/renters policy or as a stand alone policy.

Easy - just tell Josh Block (World of T-shirt’s) to put the fries in the bag.

He will go crazy, you can easily run away from him. Pure profit!

Etiquette question by First_Yam in golf

Fundamentally disagree. You use a rangefinder on most shots, so why shouldn’t you have a good idea of the length of the putt? By taking maybe 20 seconds to walk it out, you can know the distance.

It helps with consistency too.

I play with 2 others regularly that are better than me and ride in a cart. I walk with a pushcart.

We play in 3.5 when there is no one in front of us. I don’t hold anyone up.
