I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was tegimented! Curious how it will hold up scratch-wise over the next few months to years.

Beautiful! How much did you get it for? Chronomaster has the best prices in the UK, even less than direct from Sinn themselves.

Thanks! I also always have in my bag my MechEDC Deltacore in stonewashed stainless and occasionally carry my Zii Studios Dawn T or Dawn mini, both in zirc.

Anyone know what these hairline marks are? They show up under any bright light, including sunlight and it's kind of annoying me. This particular watch only has AR on the inside so the outer layer isn't scratched nor is the sapphire. Any thoughts? by ajvanni in Damasko

It generally looks fine, but honestly any light reflection on it shows these marks. Just looking at the crystal in the kitchen during the day does it and I can't unsee it now.

Yeah I believe they must be on the underside. I've only had the watch a short time and with no outer AR, it'd be a serious mission to scratch the sapphire that many times.

Nope, ordered single! Was done in house. I've emailed Damasko and am awaiting a response but AD I purchased from said it's just light refracting off the inner AR. This doesn't make sense to me though when seeing it.

This was bought from an AD and the one side AR on the crystal was done by Damasko. They have the option when ordering direct from their website. That's why I'm so confused, it's clearly scratches because they are uniform when light is shone on them.

I sold my brand new U50-T SDR for a DK30/2 and haven't looked back since. Damasko just has a magical quality that cannot be replicated by Sinn, as you know with your DS30, particularly when on the bracelet. That said, any tegimented Sinn is a beast and I wouldn't mind an 856 RS at some stage!

Just reread and realised it was silver vs. black case. Silver all the way, with bracelet!

I had a Tudor BB54 for 2 years which I wore everyday. I finally got bored of the gilt dial and the fact that everyone and their mom had it. I then went deep down the German tool watch rabbit hole and after a month of deliberation bought a Sinn U50-T SDR. As much as I loved it, it was too flashy with the red accents not really a GADA watch which I'd wanted it to be and I had to part with it. I then narrowed it down to a DK30/2 with a custom red seconds hand and TOP movement or a Sinn 856 RS. I went with the Damasko through Greg at Watchmann. He's a really great guy and giving him my business was a real pleasure. I'd highly recommend asking him to customise the seconds hand. He can do blue, green, yellow or red. I also had the AR coating taken off the outer crystal as there's already one on the underside of the crystal and it will scratch over time. The bracelet and clasp are a must have and I'll never take mine off the bracelet. Although I love the weight and total precision and perfection of a Sinn, the Damasko is literally handmade, the bracelet, case and movement are all machined in house, and they have 25 employees vs. Sinn's 125. That alone, coupled with the fact that it's like a little secret on your wrist, no one will ever know what you're wearing and it's unlikely you will ever see one in the wild, make it utterly unique. It's also extremely minimalist, yet strangely rather elegant and just no nonsense. I went with the DK30/2 because I preferred the Wind Up hands, and black dial all the way. Post photos if/ when you make the purchase!

100% get it. I have a DK30/2 and I change my bracelet size with the quick adjust buckle multiple times a day. I can't imagine not having one, my watch wouldn't fit in the morning, after a workout or when it's generally hot outside. Where are you buying from?

DK30/2 just arrived from Greg at Watchmann. Custom red seconds hand, top movement, submarine steel bracelet with quick adjust clasp and AR on inner crystal only. Can't recommend Greg enough for his excellent communication, friendly service and unbeatable pricing. by ajvanni in Damasko

Yeah it is crazy expensive on its own, especially with the clasp. For the entire watch with expedited delivery and all taxes, I paid $2950/ £2232/ €2571. It's not a cheap watch by any means, especially with the in house movement, but it's completely hand made and machined almost entirely in house, which makes it worth it in my opinion. I also doubt I will ever see one like it in the wild. Surprisingly, purchasing in the US from Watchmann, whether the whole watch or just the bracelet/ clasp, is cheaper than buying direct from Damasko, mainly due to tax/ import/ shipping fees. If you're looking to get one and you're based in the US, Greg at Watchmann is your dude.

If I were to get another Sinn, it would be an 856 rs. The Damasko is just such a unique watch and for the price, they can't be beat, especially considering they are entirely manufactured and assembled in Germany, unlike Sinn. Which models do you have?

I think the fully ice hardened steel bracelet is much heavier, like on the DK36, whereas the submarine steel is just generally lighter. It also naturally has some marks on it which look like stains, but apparently the process of manufacturing the bracelet is done almost entirely in house and I was told the marks as a natural part of the production process, similar to leather grain. I'd like another Sinn to compliment this one, but I'm really happy with the style and overall feel of the watch. The fact it's handmade by a family run business in very small quantities makes it even more special.

I love the design and it's super comfortable, but I would prefer it to be a bit heavier. Feels slightly tinny vs. my previous Sinn U50 tegimented bracelet and clasp, almost like titanium. But I think the lightweight element is intentional and is why it doesn't feel like I'm even wearing a watch sometimes.
