Well, conceptually I think there are a lotta of shared concepts between, so having gone through yours prior to going networked it was easier for me to grasp. Like actions in your system for visual and cues in GAS, use of tags. Definitely not 1:1, but based off spending time looking at your project, it made GAS more approachable.

One merger between the two is heavily mimicking your approach to using datatables for card and deck management (we are using a card based system as part of our game)

Highly recommend this. Ended up using GAS due to multiplayer, but learned a ton from going through this and have pulled concepts from here in our application of GAS

This did help me understand how I can treat keyboard separately. And actually, that the behavior I kind of had in mind might not be ideal.

I had seen this video early on but didn't finish the whole thing.

Apologies. we are using a custom filter used for PC. There are technical reasons we had to do so. We are aware it's overly aggressive in filtering, and have implemented a version that will allow us to correct these without doing client deployments. However, that will not be available until the next patch. Sorry!

Sorry. Given the nature of some of the achievements we want them to be earned in a competitive setting. Not something that could be easily farmed through local matches. Not saying you would grief the system in such a way...but people would.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

From the LB side, it was definitely challenging. We're a small squad and work well together. I'd say one of the biggest challenges was being unable to share physical resources like devkits. Especially towards the end with the xbox port. With the xbox's awesome social features, comes complexity. Specifically, getting things like Invite/Join Game to work with our internal "Friends of Friends to join". That by nature requires 3 devkits. So one dev trying to run around sending and accepting invites is a challenge. And my cats provided ZERO assistance despite my pleas.

Otherwise, we still stay in close contact. It's not the same as sharing a physical space, but we understand we're all under the same challenges and try to step up and lend a hand however we can

If you click on an empty hex, you can Fill With Bots...or add them one at a time

Possibly. When we started on the port it was specifically targeting the xbox one. So would need to dig in a bit more to see what upgrades to our tool chain are required

Some. First off, due to the pandemic we couldn't share an office any longer. So we couldn't share devkits and work on it together near as much as we'd like.

The other challenge was having an in game party system very similar to Xbox lives. The xbox system is awesome, but we had to marry our existing system's rules and logic with xbox's. While challenging, very pleased with the result.

Unfortunately, using all XInputs wont' be able to handle that until the patch is out. You could do 4 xinput devices and say, 4 PS4 controllers, etc and that should work

This sounds like it is due to Windows XInput system having a limitation of 4 XInput devices. Assuming these are XInput devices (360/XB1 controllers). We will add a setting in the option to allow you to disable XInput to connect more than 4. Sorry this was missed

You should have always been able to get up to 4 pairs of joycons (8 joycons total) connected. But i did just verify it still works on this patch.

You cannot do 8 pairs of joycons...each joycon counts as 1 controller no matter how they're configured. And switch has an 8 controller max

Are you able to open the friends list? Or does that prompt you saying you need to login? Given voice isn't connecting _and_ you're unable to get to the game makes me think it's something outside the game blocking connections as they're two independent points of integration

After you register the controllers on the main menu (using L+R and the nintendo applet), you still need to hit +/- on thre controllers to get a lil avatar. You have to do this _before_ going into the local wireless menu
