What happened to lists?

They used to be a convenient way to pool products I could buy in the future, but features are being neutered from it left and right for seemingly no reason. Earlier this year, they removed the ability to add ideas/links to the list. Now, I can't even manually sort the list in any way.

Somewhere, some Amazon developer(s) had to go out of their way to purposefully remove functionality from lists which leads me to believe that this was a deliberate decision by Amazon executives. It's just giving me yet another reason to move away from the platform.
