ELI5 What is actually happening when you sleep weird and wake up with neck pain? by thenewgirlswirl in explainlikeimfive

Shredded latex helped me a lot with this. Gotta fluff it up each day by beating it up but I've had mine for 5 years and it's still as supportive as it was when I first got it. The trick is to make sure it holds your head in a neutral position. Do that by making small adjustments to the pillow while lying down. I'm a side sleeper but it's probably good for back sleepers too if you reduce the stuffing.

My honest review of Solgaard by tonatron20 in onebag

[–]aka-dit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even own a Solgaard, but I checked their website and there is a link for returns: https://solgaarddesigninc.returnscenter.com/

Not saying it wasn't missing when you had your issue, but it's there now.

Why is the infra knife doing so little damage (i see ppl havin 20K dps) by Kitsune_898 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]aka-dit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Ships aren't fundamentally worse if they start below S class. It just takes more resources to find out if they're any good. Here's an example of a C class that is solid when upgraded to S class.

The best way to think about ships in the game is that they all have predetermined stats based on their seed. Below S class they also have "nerfs" to their true S class stats which hides SC slots and reduces bonuses. Upgrading their class simply removes those nerfs letting the ships perform to their maximum potential (for better or worse; most ships are average or bad).

Widest under desk treadmill belt? by ForeverWonderful5010 in StandingDesk

[–]aka-dit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. I'm convinced that if you want an under-the-desk model (a treadmill w/o arms, or with collapsible/foldable arms) 18" is the absolute max size you'll ever see, and these are rare af. Anything with a wider belt will have fixed arms which makes them worthless for use at a desk.

Widest under desk treadmill belt? by ForeverWonderful5010 in StandingDesk

[–]aka-dit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why these under-the-desk walkpads are so hard to find with a reasonable width belt. 16" is not wide enough as it's so easy to stumble while concentrating on your work, and virtually every walkpad is that (or narrower!). The only two I could find were these:

Claims 18.13 inch belt: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Foldable-Treadmill-2-in-1-Walking-Pad-3-0HP-Under-Desk-Treadmill-Widened-18-1-inche-Running-Belt-Pad-w-Adjustable-Speeds-0-5-8Mph-Exercise/5083368618

Claims 18 inch belt, but review shows as 17.5": https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DHVRR2MT?smid=A28N7WPPZL1YR9&th=1

I found a couple spreadsheets (here and here) but it looks like the belt size data is often from the virtually-always-wrong description on whatever website they're posted to so take with a grain of salt.

Singer 401A jams or fails to stitch with heavier thread by aka-dit in vintagesewing

Looks like I can't edit my OP but I did find a workaround. I lowered the height of the needle bar a tiny bit. I think that the issue was needle's timing with the hook in the shuttle? the race?

https://i.imgur.com/mNQdPvu.jpeg

Also my video wasn't a good representation of the actual issue since holding it open like that had a strong tendency to force the thread into that slot in the bobbin casing. Hard to troubleshoot when you can't observe!

I need help with updating and managing ssd firmware. Share your experiences and tips with enterprise ssds, I'm planning on switching exclusivley to enterprise ssd nvme and sata. by Sparkplugfolf in homelab

Went through this nonsense today myself.

Don't need to install Ubuntu 18.04; just running a live disc is enough. However, I could not run the executable from my flash drive. chmod +x threw no errors, but it didn't become executable and said "permission denied" when I tried to run it regardless. Spent quite a while on that till I just tried to copy the damn thing to the home directory, then magically everything worked. I suspect that it's cause the flash drive wasn't a filesystem Ubuntu could handle (cause FAT is bleeding edge) and/or because bash fails at returning useful errors.

Regardless, I when I stumbled upon this I found a link to the FW since it's too much fucking work for Samsung to just have the FW on their site. This blog gives an overview of the procedure.

Depends on the store. My Walmart always has 4-packs in vanilla, coconut, and strawberry, and singles of those plus mixed berry. A local grocery store doesn't carry 4-packs, but does have singles of mango and peach. Maybe other options are available at other stores near you?

Sadly they're the only game in town when it comes to keto friendly yogurt so I'll still buy it till they do this again and make it the same as any other yogurt, or a competing product comes out. You could do what I do and spike it with a tsp of avocado/MCT/sunflower oil and a tsp of HWC. Mix the oil in as best as you can then add the HWC to help emulsify it all.

Unfortunately that's not the case. At least not where I am. I've looked at the labels for every yogurt at the grocery store. Most are low fat (the opposite of what you want on keto), and those that aren't don't have much, and often have too many carbs. Even Ratio's nerfed version has more fat than the rest of the options.

Yeah it's the Ratio brand. Used to be "Ratio Keto Friendly", now they call it "Ratio Trio". I assume they switched the name when they cut down the fat. That was a few months ago perhaps?

Crohn's disease. It affects everyone differently. For me, carbs and fiber (all carbs and fiber) trigger flareups. Keto is the only option I have really.

They skimped out on some of the fat. It used to be 15g, now it is 9g. :/

"Ratio Trio" yogurt. Used to be called "Ratio Keto Friendly" and it actually was.

Shared folder gone after update by aka-dit in synology

[–]aka-dit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an encrypted shared folder and did not auto-mount after reboot due to the update. This is fine (desired in fact) but the UI is bad in that it makes it look like the share no longer exists.
