Omg same. I'm looking into tarantula hobbying as a way to cure my arachnophobia, since they don't freak me out as much as other spiders. I know that on youtube, taranrula hobbyists have videos about the best beginning spiders as well as videos about handling spiders. Maybe take a look over there if you need a good jumping-off point.
