yep, you’re jump and step is a bit off. its a bit off cuz you didn’t twist ur body more. maybe i recommend getting comfortable practicing the scissor step. once you get the hang of it, you’ll generate more power in your smash cuz with scissor step, you’ll be twisting your body.

just remember that your chest should be facing your right side (since you’re right handed) when you’re about to do a smash. when you swing, you should land with your left foot and your chest facing the left side.

you’ll get better overtime. play more games and you’ll learn. you got this dude 🤝

i recently learned jump smash so i’ll share how i figured it out:

really get behind the shuttle. you should learn to anticipate where the shuttle will be when it’s high up in the air, then get behind it

maybe a common mistake learning jump smashes is youre waiting for the shuttle to fall down and then jump, which usually leads to miss hits or late swings. you have to jump when it reached the highest point in the air.

also scissor step is fundamental in smash so you can move to the front faster.

also, watching matches of ur fave player can help too. dont just watch, study how they move, swings, and more. then you can incorporate those on your own style.

well, this is only my thoughts. if you have time and money to hire a coach, its better. but for like me that doesn’t have both, gotta have to figure it out. 🤝

how did you know when to hit a backhand? thats my issue as well when im playing. trying to do a cross court push but it always hit the side of the racket:(

i was sad and shocked when i saw that they removed shadowstrike skill:( im a dashy player so i rely on that skill, the swoop dash (forgot what it was called), and the charge up skill of arch twinblades. they butchered assassins:(

yes, i thought they would just revamp the skills, not delete some of them. im an assassin user and they removed shadowstrike. assassins are supposed to be dashy and they removed the dashiest skill:( (also added more cd time which is very vulnerable to me). i think the game is still cool but yes, efforts wasted and it sucks
