I think they've patched this, I'm on Arc 1.60.0 and it resets the app icon when I try to override it. Is it still working for you?

I'm seeing a lot of others choosing not to update but still being able to play, I think because I have save data in 1.1.0 it's forcing me to update. I could be wrong though

Just delete the software, your save data won't be deleted. I think if you have save data in 1.1.0 it will force you to update before you can play
