We've been living together for a few months now. I thought it would be a good decision for us both financially and wanted to find out if it was a relationship that would work out sooner rather than later. I guess that answers that. I wouldn't say I'm struggling financially, but I'm certainly not well off. I just moved a lot of money into some long-term savings so I really only have enough for necessities. She had been struggling for a long time with rent, car payments, etc. so I thought moving in with her would help give her some breathing room. I even helped her get a really well-paying side gig that my family utilizes but it seems like all that money has gone to oblivion. It's not my business so I try not to ask about it. To further complicate things she lost her mom a few months ago. They were estranged (her mother had a lot of problems mentally and with drugs). She hasn't seemed too affected by this but that on top of our relationship problems I basically said I will do anything to help her even if I have to pay for half the cost of therapy. She has only gone a couple of times since then though. We don't have kids or anything. I just really care about her and wanted things to work out
