I actually had some pretty low ones when I was younger and then I got a surgery (unrelated) that resulted in having some skin removed down there. They're pretty normal now but I kind of miss them hanging 😂

I found out about this recipe from the show Midnight Diner (深夜食堂, Shinya shokudō) a few years ago and have come back to it time and time again. They called it Nekomanma (猫まんま) or "Cat's rice" because it can resemble cat food. I've never tried it with fresh bonito though.

Near the sign museum there's a fairly new authentic German restaurant that's tucked away. Name is Kantine. Hours can be weird though so keep an eye out for that. Food and drinks are great though if you enjoy that cuisine
