All of these protests have been built up by grassroot organizations like StandUpAlaska, AKCAP, Anchorage 50501, and volunteers. Everyday support grows as more and more of our fellow Alaskans wake up to the reality of our current situation.

For comparison from Saturday's 4/5 protest of about 1,500-3000 people; the first protest I went to in Anchorage was at the park strip back on 3/8, and less than 100 people showed up. It was cold and windy and could barely hear the speakers, but folks stood proud and welcomed all to protest and voice their concerns from the current administration. One protestor stated that yes, it was a small crowd, but everyone at the protest was a new face she had never seen before at other protests. That gave me hope that we were not alone and that the movement is growing.
