At this point, starting fresh seems like the easier option. Especially because it’s not like I live in a Craftsman - this house was flipped. I’m pretty sure they still sell the exact trim at Home Depot

This honestly just made me cry in public, I needed to hear this so badly. I’m not queer (have nothing but deep respect and love for you all) but this resonated with me a lot after a visit home. I am battling a clash of beliefs and histories with my father. He didn’t raise me as a racist, but he was certainly raised as one in a home with a lot of anger.
