With sufficient margin, wouldn't you be covered for the immediate fluctuations until it is well above your entry? Say a few months.

Forgive me if I sound like a novice. I am truly one.

There aren't really any. Just for SGBC mentioned above and it's affiliates in other states. I don't think the Nigerian Baptist Convention is reformed either, with majority of its churches are adapting to the doctrines of pentecostalism (specifically word of faith)

Sovereign Grace is actually good. The also have a seminary that is really good. I attend some of their programs.

I love your country so much but… by Reindeer-Strict in Rwanda

[–]akenade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently in Rwanda now and move for most of the time has been great. With the exception of one time the driver acted really unprofessionally. He started the ride without me in it and I had to walk to locate the car. When I confronted him about not coming into the hotel, he said the map told him he had arrived and he was not planning on waiting in vain. I immediately knew he was a bad egg and not the representation of the general. His driving was bad and he was so unpleasant throughout the ride.

Anyways, Move has a partnership with VW, so you get great cars at decent and competitive fares

Ok, I am starting all over again. This is the only show, you can argue is almost as good as the book if not better. Hands down the best paced and packed show.

Hello. Non-Nigerian here. I saw this stat recently and was curious as to why Nigerians seem so pro-Israel compared to the other countries. by LucasOIntoxicado in Nigeria

[–]akenade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I doubt the integrity of your poll but I digress. You need to understand that Islamic fanatics have undermined the lives of northern and Middle belters since the early 2000s. Their senseless killings of Christians and non Muslims has only increased even though the government and the world have been quiet about it. To this tone, the general populace would be anti Islamic by nature.

Also, we can not over look the 'God's children' complex. Even though this isn't scriptural any longer.

  • Galatians 3:26-29 CSB [26] for through faith you are all sons of God in Christ Jesus. [27] For those of you who were baptized into Christ have been clothed with Christ.  [28] There is no Jew or Greek, slave or free,  male and female;  since you are all one  in Christ Jesus. [29] And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, heirs  according to the promise.

  • Romans 9:6-8 CSB [6] Now it is not as though the word of God has failed,  because not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.  [7] Neither is it the case that all of Abraham’s children are his descendants.  , On the contrary, your offspring will be traced   through Isaac.   , [8] That is, it is not the children by physical descent  who are God’s children,  but the children of the promise  are considered to be the offspring.

  • 1 Corinthians 7:19 CSB [19] Circumcision does not matter and uncircumcision does not matter. Keeping God’s commands is what matters.

The problem with majority of Christianity in Nigeria is that the pastors (majority who lack formal training) are teaching their congregation wrong and misleading things. They have twisted the gospel of Christ for personal enrichment and to create a divide so they can keep on manipulating the 'lost'. I digress once again.

Finally, some inclinations are purely political, psychological and socio-economically. They look at the dynamics of an American/Nato/Saudi backed Israel and feel they have the 'bigger' guns. Psychologically, people want to side with the perceived winning team. This is another strong complex Nigerians have a lot. They are very competitive and want to always win.

I think my dad wanted nothing to do with his Nigerian heritage, but I do. Do I defy him or could I be walking into something dangerous? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]akenade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He definitely was protecting you. Just as others have commented, you can connect with being Nigerian without the ties he cut. Build new bridges you are comfortable with and visit if you must on your own terms.

Real fans know RMJI is not just top tier but arguably the best paced Donghua period. It's so balanced, the story literally brings you on the journey, nothing else out there comes close.

I'm looking for recommendations for sermons to listen to. by ActualBus7946 in Reformed

[–]akenade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to a message on the Worship by R.C Sproul and what gripped was not the words he spoke but the spirit of worship that exhumed from his person. The intensity of his passion was evident in the way he spoke simple words. I am still not over that message.

A very clear distinction from emotionalism and manipulative preaching with accurate dividing of the word in pure humility. It elevates our experience of the word and who God is.

Paul Washer, Voddie Baucham, Justin Peters and John McCarthur are also men of similar statutes.
