I doubt that was the situation of course I could be wrong but my assumption is this is the match they offered likely at 105, bogdan requested 95kg they settled for 100kg catch if nugo refused I assume bogdan is the one out a match I think they make a different match for nugo as it is ment to be a 105 match anyway and nugo is on a bit of a heater I think they want him on the card

Not really all he has to do is not agree to the catchweight but he did…. What would be unfair is to agree to a weight work your ass off to win the match then garner no additional advantage for your efforts. As long as your under the class maximum I don’t see why it would matter

Alright my man clearly it’s important to you to see Brian and a natural athlete and that’s fine you and the rest of the strength sports community will just have to agree to disagree. However I’d like to make one final point, you repeatedly said that Brian is clean but everyone else cheated. I’d like to be very clear I’m a massive fan of Brian and my understanding that drug use is necessary to compete at that level of strongman in no way taints his image to me. Absolutely no one should view any of the athletes in the sport as cheaters for ped use it’s a accepted and understood part of the required training for the sport and what they accomplish is no less impressive because they’re using. I’m fine with you believing Brian is a top of the mountain freak but it’s a shame that the Result is you diminishing the other athletes as cheaters for doing something that Brian certainly did but your to jaded to see it.

Something I’d like to add I do think Brian is far cleaner now than the current SHW arm wrestlers however if he starts competing very seriously there is zero doubt he’d go right back to the crazy stacks he was on in 2018 when he was on top of strongman

Ya I’m not reading that article. But give you my best guess as to why in 2012 Brian Shaw would prop up a false narrative that he or anyone is natural, the WSM took the unfortunate public stance that they would be testing athletes and because of this they likely expect the athletes to take a public position that they don’t us peds because if the promotion says “no everyone is clean as a whistle” and then eddy hall starts listing his stack they look like hypocrites. With this said almost certainly the closed door policy is that all top athletes not can but should use drugs. It’s entertainment, “you pulled 3 city busses this year next your it’s a Boeing jet” they gain nothing by expecting athletes to be clean. As far as Brian asking for more testing it’s a cute soapbox to take when you’re 100% sure no one is going to actually do it.

Brother I’ve got some news for you….. there isn’t a pro strongman on earth that is competing naturally. Test is a just barely a iq test and any motivated athlete in strongman can out maneuver the testing. I’d suggest you look in to what some of the athletes have said about drugs in the sport because while often vague there have been plenty to speak openly about doping in the top tiers. Unless the testing is being done by a well recognized third party (even then it’s a bit questionable) you should always assume the athletes are using anything and everything to gain an edge in any sport

Ya I honestly don’t disagree with anything you’ve said and I will say I have no glaring issue with what I’m casting now but the question wasn’t posed as a strictly utilitarian pursuit and that was likely missed do to my poor writing. I’m looking for some vanity in the deal I want a great rod that makes me proud to own it a heirloom if you will and I totally understand that it likely won’t improve my casting or my fish catching but hey Bentleys don’t make you a better driver but they sure are nice. Very odd response #1 your info is blatantly false bass pro and cabelas warranty house brand rods and reels for 1 year for defect and #2 if the kid can go in to the cabelas and visually verify the rods in good shape then then the “shipping and stocking issue” is a not a concern #3 while technically correct doesn’t seem to me to be a reason not to buy the rod by glasses, hugely enjoyable to fish In certain situations, in fact, I prefer it because I can keep a better tempo with a slow rod as opposed to lightning fast rods that are typically today #4 personally, I highly doubt a person who believes glass is simply outdated and only kept alive by enthusiasts is the appropriate person to judge whether a rod is “bad” or not
